This year the BNZ (National Australia Bank) was found guilty of exploiting a tax loophole - robbing the public purse of 654 million dollars. Westpac has now been ordered to pay 961 million. 70 high court trials procede. The BNZ and Westpac are now in the process of appealing the findings by technical argument. We fund both side's lawyers. In addition, in 2008 we gave Aussi bankers 4,500 million profit - yet we have our own bank and need the money. Are we the dumbest nation?
