OK, so you have to have 'rock band' already to use this? or can you use it stand alone with just the guitar hero guitar and software?

yes it is compatable to use with GH software. u can play Gh world tour, metalilica, and gh smash hits. if u have GH u can use it for any Rock band game. drums tho i dont know but guitar u can and mic.

I was wondering, because I would like to get the country pack, but I noticed it said ROCK BAND, and I was not sure if that meant you have to have that software and use this like an add on, but if its stand alone, I will have to get it... I have the standard guitar, (put the wii controller into it) and play away....

GH drums work with RB2, but not the first one, if I remember correctly.
