i don't understand why simon said it was "unforgettable" because this is by far my favorite performance by archie :) i completely agree with paula . i'll always enjoy an archie performance no matter what because he always connected with any song he chooses :)
Ok. David sang Think of Me one time. Let him sing, however we don't have to like it. I, personally don't like that he took the song and arranged it for this generation of music, however I am happy because people might just have looked up this song for the original and I wouldn't mind seeing a little more people who appreciate anything other than pop and rock as they commonly listen to.
This wasn't even a singing contest. He was never in the bottom 2 and every night he did his thing. And for David freakin Cook to win is bullshit. The reason David Cook won was because fans wanted to see a rock singer win American Idol. And that should have been Chris Daughtry. And the fact that Cook won by 12 million votes makes me believe that music is dead.

I love when he closes his eyes...........dreamy. I loved the original so much, but David's version was to die for and totally young and up to date, I would love for it to be on one of his albums.
This was one of my favorite performances of that entire season. I absolutely LOVED this and it still sticks with me. David Archuleta was, by far, the most talented contestant in this ummm, dare I say "singing contest" and he should have won. This performance is just more proof of that. This is my favorite of any version of this song that I have heard before or since, but wait, that's right, american Idol is not a singing contest, it is a popularity contest.... The most talented doesn't ever matter or ever win... GO DAVID AND ADAM!!!

@hippielucas My point exactly. American Idol is not a singing competition. It is about who is more popular and increasingly, who has the best sob story. It is sickening. I haven't watched it since Adam's title was stolen from him. While Kris Allen is certainly not more popular than Adam he was more popular with all the little girls who had crushes on him and the homophobes that voted for him specifically to vote against Adam. I guess Adam is having the last laugh now and so am I...

what is Simon talking about... I was instantly grabbed by the opening notes of this performance, and seeing how Webber was just stunned by his singing of that at the end was one of the most memorable images of the season

I love when he closes his eyes...........dreamy. I loved the original so much, but David's version was to die for and totally young and up to date, I would love for it to be on one of his albums.

This was one of my favorite performances of that entire season. I absolutely LOVED this and it still sticks with me. When he sings "there'll never be a day, when I will never think of you" GOSH it just gets me every time! Simon was so wrong when he said his performance wasn't memorable. I absolutely can not help but remember this!

I agree with you lovearchuleta i think the producers rigged the votes.I do like david cook he is a good singer but I LOVE ARCHULETA he is so AMAZING and his voice BLOWS ME AWAY.He deserved to win it,even though he doesnt think so i have a feeling he wished he won.I think they rigged it though but that my opinion idk wat happened alls i know is I LOVE DAVID JAMES ARCHULETA NO MATTER WHAT!!!

Worst performance of the night. Brooke did better. Simon was dead on: "One of your weakest performances" and it was "forgettable". Good job Simon, I knew you would tell the truth :D :)

I don't think that it was the worst performance of the night. Actually, I think it was one of the best performances of the night, though Sayesha did do the best. I think that Jason Castros performance was the wosrt of the night. It was just like Simon said "painful".
