Snow White didn't bankrupt the company (though later in production it almost did), once it was out it was a huge hit and made a lot of money. It was Fantasia, Dumbo, Pinocchio, and Bambi that didn't make any money, at the time.

Those who said that Disney sucked after Walt died, you are a bunch of ungrateful twats. TODAY'S Disney movies are awful, but movies like The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, etc. are brilliant films and won several Oscars as well. Robin Hood,The Fox and the Hound,Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and so on are all great classics and you say that some of the BEST Disney movies of all time suck?! Call yourself a Disney fan if you hate those films??

No I don't think so either. There are many movies after Walt died that are very good, even great. I just think that the real Disney 'magic' is sort of gone. Collaborations with Pixar isn't a real Disney classic and even though they might be somewhat okay, it's still a shame. Not everything is better modernly updated.

I agree with many of you. The new Dieny's are oftn bad. But bot all moves after Walt sucked. just look at Beauty and the beast, Aladdin or Robin Hood, they wer all after Walt had passed away.

But i also miss the old animations techniques, like they had before when the colour wouldn't be absolutely spotless... did that make sense? xD

Get your facts right. The company expanded and later survived through regular re-release of 'Snow White'. It was one of the commercially most successful movies of its time.

I like classic disney alot better than the disney we have today. I'm not against it, but I just think Disney kinda goes oberboard with most stars franchise. I want to the store today and saw High School Musical on a flower pot. With Red and White flowers.
