hahah, it's easy to hide a magnet anywhere, even on your skin with flesh colored tape. i love how he HAS to move a compass too, no one has ever seen him 'magically' move a non-magnetic object have they?
To anyone dumb enough to believe this trick is "magic" or "paranormal": James Randi performs the exact same trick in videos right here on YouTube, and he makes it very clear it's just a regular trick.
Haha, Uri has made a lot of sock-puppet accounts on YouTube. Especially ones trying to twist chriss angels debunking of him into a "victory", hehe. Only MORONS believe this fucking lying fraudster Uri Geller. He is a living piece of lying shit. FUCK you who insist he's legitimate. You have shit for brains.
hes a fake a fraud whatever BUT hes a performer who`s made a hell of a lot of money for a hell of a long time out of the fact that people are fucking stupid & WANT to believe, they NEED to believe, for all sorts of reasons, He`s a one trick pony not good enough to be a great stage magician so found his niche pandering to peoples gullibility of "feats of the mind! lol,his star has faded somewhat, So when "his friend" MJ died he made money out of that too! even though MJ had previously cut him off
Most likely the face but there's also a really weird cut away-- why would you do that when you're proving that its not trickery.
Also I'd like to note how before it was really difficult and required a big production and all the audiences "good feelings" but this go around it takes all of 20 seconds to actually do the trick.
@ebrobaru again, so far. I am the only one replicated the theory and uploaded a video. I am not a magican, trickster or posess the knowlege of sleight of hands.
Why don't you try , you don't have to be a magican to replicate the theory "Put a magnet on your thumb, hold it 15cm above a compass and try to affect it"
@MMAProfessor even if it is fake, you have to practice it and make it look perfect. I´ll give that to Uri, he was an accomplished performer. WHat`s your point anyway? That you can perform the trick too? So what? So do countless other people
@ebrobaru No, I can't perform the "trick" nor can anyone else from the theory skeptics have created. I have showed every skeptic willing to open thier eyes that it's impossible with the chosen setup and also that it goes against physical laws.
I still challange anyone to replicate this theory and get the same results as Uri. Noone have , nor will ever.
@MMAProfessor If you could really do it you would re-write the boo on physics as we know it. However can you do it in front of someone with some background to spot trickery? Say someone like Randi?
@MMAProfessor Wow. You show an obvious will to believe more than you have access to in your life. So basically, because nobody can "prove" that it isn't a simple trick, it means it's not?
You do realize the ignorant hypocrisy behind it, correct? Here's your belief:
"Nobody can prove it's a trick. So, it's not a trick."
Here's that of a... "skeptic":
"Nobody can prove it's not a trick. So, it is."
Without trying to offend you, hypocrisy has a limit, until it starts to become comical.
No, you are wrong. Noone have proven it coz it's a false theory. It doesn't add up, it goes AGAINST LAWS OF PHYSICS!
No.

uri is of full of the shit...we all knowing it is trick, but uri is saying no it is mind...WHAT PIECE OF SHIT RUBBISH TO YOU URI! we have more repect if you confess...this then at least i am able to be watching him again, with out shitting myself with the embarrasment of it all...grow up uri, you getting old fart now.
...I appreciate the offer to message you, but I try not to directly email people off of forums. I mean, it's just YouTube, right? A fun way to distract yourself from writing your end-of-year essays (which is what's been going on here the past few days).
P.S. I figure you'll want to get the "last word" in, and that's cool (ha ha, like I could stop you?). I've got to get my lazy ass back to work, anyway. Thanks for the debate, fox. Take good care of yourself.
it's HIS tv show, he can do whatever he likes beforehand to set up the stage, and you think this is legit? James Randi proved this guy a fraud and it was indisuptable - look it up! the videos are on youtube.
WRONG... he advised the tonight show host to set gellar up, providing their OWN spoons and various household items and asked him to do the same tricks using their equipment. Gellar shat the bed.
Again, I think it sure is suspicious as Hell, but it doesn't come close to "proving" anything. Scientifically, something can only be "proven" (or "disproven") through repeated experiments... i.e. ONE failure does not constitue an identifiable pattern.
Well, evidence is based on the ability to reproduce an action with controls. What do you want him to do, ask him to FAIL repeatedly 1,000 times before you're happy? Come on. It's been proven to any rational persons satisfaction, since uri has never 'proven' otherwise, we must assume he is a fraud, a con man, and a cheat. And I think it's uri's responsibility to prove he is NOT a fraud since he is the one making the claims.
imagine it like a court of law, where the lawyer put gellar on the spot and asked him to reproduce his claims with controls for the jury. He would fail, and you think the jury would say 'oh well, it's not really PROVEN is it'... no?! they would convict him for fraud.
...this would only happen if it were a corrupt trial.
It would be like putting the world's strongest man "on the spot" to spontaneously dead lift 1,100 lbs (under intense psychological pressure, with no warm-up, on what could possibly be an off day) and then convicting him for fraud if he didn't deliver.
(3 of 2 ...yeah, I know "3 doesn't fit into "2"—I just came up with more to say)
Again, I should say that I don't believe in Gellar's works, and I admit that Gellar is making some pretty lofty claims, for which he should show some more reliable proof... I mean, he doesn't HAVE to "fail repeatedly 1000 times"; I'd take 1000 successes, if he could produce them.
(3 of 2 ...yeah, I know "3 doesn't fit into "2"—I just came up with more to say)
Also, the fact of the matter is that every wo/man is innocent until proven guilty; and saying that Gellar is a "con-man" is a hypothesis and an accusation... and accusations need to be verifiably proven, just like Gellar's lofty claims need to be.
Plus, just how is it that you know how every rational person feels? Afterall, there is technically more evidence supporting Gellar-- as he has ALREADY shown repeated successful examples of his "power" (under admittedly informal conditions with very few identifiable controls), and has only REALLY failed once (under equally informal conditions while being confronted by a self righteous Atheist and a magician-turned-talk-show-host... although, "self righteous" is really just my opinion).
"I don't buy Gellar's stuff." to "as he has ALREADY shown repeated successful examples of his "power"" - pretty big jump in the series of a few messages. seriously no point arguing you, I don't think even you understand your position. Message me if you'd like to continue, personally I think it's a moot point, as MAGICAL WIZARDS DON'T EXIST IRL, dummy. Disappointing, but true.
My position is simple: I THINK Gellar's a fake-- but I won't pretend that I know FOR SURE. Therefore, as a rational thinking creature, I feel compelled to analyze both sides of the argument (as opposed to blindly clinging to the comfort of writing off things I don't understand as nonexistent, and allowing hindsight/observer-expectancy bias to bolster me)... ha ha ha, ignore what I put in the parenthesis, I'm just being playful ...
...so far as my "pretty big jump"-- I put the word "power" in quotes because that's GELLAR'S word choice, not mine. Sorry I didn't make that clear. You see, I "don't buy Gellar's stuff" IN LIEU OF the fact that "he has ALREADY shown repeated successful examples of his 'power'", because those "examples" weren't conducted as formally as I'd like. However, even though the formality of those examples didn't completely meet with my standards, I cannot completely discredit them, either...
...I appreciate the offer to message you, but I try not to directly email people off of forums.
Take good care of yourself.
hHve you thought that he might have a foot pedal or button on the floor that he stands on to allow a magnet to come to affect the compass within the aparatus. electric magnet?
The magnet is actually in his mouth..probably under his tongue. He only opens his mouth for a second to show us 'nothing' is in there. Now notice the compass only moves when he puts his head very close to it.
I'd like to see him do this trick with his hands, face, and other body parts away from a compass that I provide him with. Then I might kind of believe it. Maybe. Not really.
Oh, and as an English speaker, I learned absolutely nothing from watching this video. Some translation would be nice.
He's been doing the same tricks for years, he would conv. peps more if he did difrent things like walk into starbucks and take an empty cup and move that, just an exmp. doesn't hafe to be that but u know diffrent is good
just cause he is fake does not mean we should be able to find out all if his tricks. like an illusionist most people dont know how copperfield does his stuff yet we all (including him) that all he does is just an illusion. the main difference between uri and david is that uri says he is doing it with pyschic powers yet both of them are illusionists. point.
This video doesn't prove anything. It shows Uri doing a trick, for which there are many simple explanations apart from the "supernatural" one. What this clip does demonstrate is that Uri is still a showman, and capable of jumping up as soon as he's been hit down.
In the Geller "scandal" video he scratches his left thumb with his right hand. There's no false thumb in the following frames. The white thing on his thumb is a highlight from the spotlights. The people with him have white-tipped fingers too. Is his hair long enough to hide a thumb? Where does paranormal end and stage start? Would it be a sin if a psychic did wedding tricks? If the TV producer wants extras, who can say no? Prime time TV can do stop frame animation etc. A fake thumb's not needed.
i was in israel when this show and i saw it my self well i know people that says he went to my contry over 10 years ago and he make the damaged watches to walk my uncle says a 5 years damaged watch WALKED how he did that?¿
Most old watches will work for a few minutes if you shake them a bit and warm them up with your hands. THis is why Uri specifically asks for watches and not something else - he knows it works 7 times out of 10.
He's also a master of saying things like "we'll try that one again later, first let's try this one..." when it fails (of course he never returns to the failed ones because by then he's busy doing something else).
hahah lmao ok listen my old boss from my old job well known in the country he say he had at home a 10 years watch damaged and uri went to tv in dominican republic he say on tv he will make all the damaged watches trough the tv to walk and he told me that watch walked and had missing a important part with out that part the watch dont walk so how in the hell that happend he say it on tv and the watch walked in the hosue of somebody uri never touch it
So you accept that he cheats for some things but not others (eg. magnets to move a compass)? Strange attitude...
Instead of arguing, why don't you get some old watches and try this trick without having Uri on TV at the same time? Maybe you'll find out the truth...
i dont arguing i ask you, because i am just like you REALISTIC not a supidistic.. lol and since i am a child i am wondering about this man from were is he from and now i am living were he born so then i see this show while i was there but did you hear about some japanese cientifics wich was confirmed they move objects with the power of mind?? in the news was that my father told me, japanese cientifics move objects with the power of mind if i am mistaken what do you know about that???
This proves he likes to sit hot girls at the front of his audience?

Anyways, as James Randi says "if he does these miracles by divine power, he's doin' it the hard way"

I want to see him do it naked. Then I'll believe him.

Glasses
Junkyousha 4 years ago
you idiots instead of testosteroning each other, the skeptics could just post whats wrong in his video's.
whiteNshine 4 years ago
and he is bending so his glasses are almost near contact with the compass, so there must be a device in his glasses. What an idiot.
whiteNshine 4 years ago
and now mister fraud touches the metal conection between his glasses right before he moves the compass.

...I appreciate the offer to message you, but I try not to directly email people off of forums.
AmericanCyrano 4 years ago
it's HIS tv show, he can do whatever he likes beforehand to set up the stage, and you think this is legit? James Randi proved this guy a fraud and it was indisuptable - look it up! the videos are on youtube.
fox220 4 years ago
James Randi didn't really PROVE anything about Gellar, but just identified ALTERNATE WAYS someone could do what he does.
Don't get me wrong, I don't buy Gellar's stuff. But still, no one's really been savvy enough to definitively prove him wrong.
AmericanCyrano 4 years ago
WRONG... he advised the tonight show host to set gellar up, providing their OWN spoons and various household items and asked him to do the same tricks using their equipment. Gellar shat the bed.
fox220 4 years ago
Again, I think it sure is suspicious as Hell, but it doesn't come close to "proving" anything. Scientifically, something can only be "proven" (or "disproven") through repeated experiments... i.e. ONE failure does not constitue an identifiable pattern.
AmericanCyrano 4 years ago
Well, evidence is based on the ability to reproduce an action with controls. What do you want him to do, ask him to FAIL repeatedly 1,000 times before you're happy? Come on. It's been proven to any rational persons satisfaction, since uri has never 'proven' otherwise, we must assume he is a fraud, a con man, and a cheat. And I think it's uri's responsibility to prove he is NOT a fraud since he is the one making the claims.
fox220 4 years ago
imagine it like a court of law, where the lawyer put gellar on the spot and asked him to reproduce his claims with controls for the jury. He would fail, and you think the jury would say 'oh well, it's not really PROVEN is it'... no?! they would convict him for fraud.
fox220 4 years ago
(1 of 2)
fox,
...this would only happen if it were a corrupt trial.
It would be like putting the world's strongest man "on the spot" to spontaneously dead lift 1,100 lbs (under intense psychological pressure, with no warm-up, on what could possibly be an off day) and then convicting him for fraud if he didn't deliver.

AmericanCyrano 4 years ago
(3 of 2 ...yeah, I know "3 doesn't fit into "2"—I just came up with more to say)
Again, I should say that I don't believe in Gellar's works, and I admit that Gellar is making some pretty lofty claims, for which he should show some more reliable proof... I mean, he doesn't HAVE to "fail repeatedly 1000 times"; I'd take 1000 successes, if he could produce them.
AmericanCyrano 4 years ago
(3 of 2 ...yeah, I know "3 doesn't fit into "2"—I just came up with more to say)
Also, the fact of the matter is that every wo/man is innocent until proven guilty; and saying that Gellar is a "con-man" is a hypothesis and an accusation... and accusations need to be verifiably proven, just like Gellar's lofty claims need to be.
AmericanCyrano 4 years ago
Plus, just how is it that you know how every rational person feels? Afterall, there is technically more evidence supporting Gellar-- as he has ALREADY shown repeated successful examples of his "power" (under admittedly informal conditions with very few identifiable controls), and has only REALLY failed once (under equally informal conditions while being confronted by a self righteous Atheist and a magician-turned-talk-show-host... although, "self righteous" is really just my opinion).
AmericanCyrano 4 years ago
"I don't buy Gellar's stuff." to "as he has ALREADY shown repeated successful examples of his "power"" - pretty big jump in the series of a few messages. seriously no point arguing you, I don't think even you understand your position. Message me if you'd like to continue, personally I think it's a moot point, as MAGICAL WIZARDS DON'T EXIST IRL, dummy. Disappointing, but true.
fox220 4 years ago
(1 of 3)
My position is simple: I THINK Gellar's a fake-- but I won't pretend that I know FOR SURE.
AmericanCyrano 4 years ago
(2 of 3)
...so far as my "pretty big jump"-- I put the word "power" in quotes because that's GELLAR'S word choice, not mine. Sorry I didn't make that clear. You see, I "don't buy Gellar's stuff" IN LIEU OF the fact that "he has ALREADY shown repeated successful examples of his 'power'", because those "examples" weren't conducted as formally as I'd like. However, even though the formality of those examples didn't completely meet with my standards, I cannot completely discredit them, either...

hHve you thought that he might have a foot pedal or button on the floor that he stands on to allow a magnet to come to affect the compass within the aparatus. electric magnet?
nelg70 4 years ago
maybe magnetic glasses
marzc2006 4 years ago
Uri is definitely onto something here though...pretending that he's psychic to scam chicks.
I'm sure it works brilliantly.

eyal52: that cant be right, he didnt use magnets here!

i hope he's like a kid or something
and not THAT STUPID
severmine 4 years ago
Uri Geller is a total fraud! It's about time people started waking up to his scam.
stratcat944 4 years ago
The magnet is actually in his mouth..probably under his tongue. He only opens his mouth for a second to show us 'nothing' is in there. Now notice the compass only moves when he puts his head very close to it.
Gramsk 4 years ago
I'd like to see him do this trick with his hands, face, and other body parts away from a compass that I provide him with. Then I might kind of believe it. Maybe. Not really.
Oh, and as an English speaker, I learned absolutely nothing from watching this video. Some translation would be nice.

TheFallibleFiend 4 years ago
He's been doing the same tricks for years, he would conv. peps more if he did difrent things like walk into starbucks and take an empty cup and move that, just an exmp. doesn't hafe to be that but u know diffrent is good
Y0rMoma 4 years ago
that uri geller is convinced that WE are all stupids
soltam155 4 years ago
lol
so true
severmine 4 years ago
just cause he is fake does not mean we should be able to find out all if his tricks. like an illusionist most people dont know how copperfield does his stuff yet we all (including him) that all he does is just an illusion. the main difference between uri and david is that uri says he is doing it with pyschic powers yet both of them are illusionists. point.
nihalatsiz 4 years ago
Then he should admit to being an illusionists and not the fantasticly false claim that he is a psychic.
ChrisSketch 4 years ago
What did he want to prove, that he's a pervert invading the spaces of pretty girls when they clearly want to get away from him?
kevinpalooza 4 years ago
This video doesn't prove anything. It shows Uri doing a trick, for which there are many simple explanations apart from the "supernatural" one. What this clip does demonstrate is that Uri is still a showman, and capable of jumping up as soon as he's been hit down.
coolaun 4 years ago
In the Geller "scandal" video he scratches his left thumb with his right hand. There's no false thumb in the following frames. The white thing on his thumb is a highlight from the spotlights. The people with him have white-tipped fingers too. Is his hair long enough to hide a thumb? Where does paranormal end and stage start? Would it be a sin if a psychic did wedding tricks? If the TV producer wants extras, who can say no? Prime time TV can do stop frame animation etc. A fake thumb's not needed.
CleanBlackRaiser 4 years ago
His face gets awfully close to the compass. He's wearing glasses this time.
Passion013085 4 years ago
Hidden in his fake thumb righthand. He holds the thumb where it wont move the pointer first time. Then moves it to side.

I believe that Geller is magic and he can do anyfing cos he is magic and he can bend spoons and i also belive in unicorns and faries la la la la....
tigerdraft 5 years ago
Funny how he's wearing glasses and has to put his head incredibly close to the compass to make it move....
Really, it only takes a *tiny* magnet to move a compass - try it for yourself why don't you?
tooby98765 5 years ago
i was in israel when this show and i saw it my self well i know people that says he went to my contry over 10 years ago and he make the damaged watches to walk my uncle says a 5 years damaged watch WALKED how he did that?¿
khlymore 5 years ago
Most old watches will work for a few minutes if you shake them a bit and warm them up with your hands. THis is why Uri specifically asks for watches and not something else - he knows it works 7 times out of 10.
He's also a master of saying things like "we'll try that one again later, first let's try this one..." when it fails (of course he never returns to the failed ones because by then he's busy doing something else).
tooby98765 5 years ago
hahah lmao ok listen my old boss from my old job well known in the country he say he had at home a 10 years watch damaged and uri went to tv in dominican republic he say on tv he will make all the damaged watches trough the tv to walk and he told me that watch walked and had missing a important part with out that part the watch dont walk so how in the hell that happend he say it on tv and the watch walked in the hosue of somebody uri never touch it
khlymore 5 years ago
and with my uncle as well uri say on tv to the people at home find a old watch he will make it walk he say so how he did that fucking shit
khlymore 5 years ago
So you accept that he cheats for some things but not others (eg. magnets to move a compass)? Strange attitude...
Instead of arguing, why don't you get some old watches and try this trick without having Uri on TV at the same time? Maybe you'll find out the truth...
tooby98765 5 years ago
i dont arguing i ask you, because i am just like you REALISTIC not a supidistic.. lol and since i am a child i am wondering about this man from were is he from and now i am living were he born so then i see this show while i was there but did you hear about some japanese cientifics wich was confirmed they move objects with the power of mind?? in the news was that my father told me, japanese cientifics move objects with the power of mind if i am mistaken what do you know about that???
khlymore 5 years ago
sweet call, toob. you da man.
mallenwiseramos 5 years ago
Some people may see Uri using "psychic powers" to move a compass but I only see somebody moving a magnet near a compass.
When you look at it like that the solution is very easy...just ask "where does he hide the magnet"?
tooby98765 5 years ago
The compass' north or south pole will point to the
hidden magnet.
ozzyscruggs1 4 years ago
Whell,it's his glasses.
The only time pointer moves is when he lowers his face ;)
Great showmen is that uri :D
