it's not about finding "life's answers" , it's about giving up or letting go those bad scripts that we don't want anymore. so we can life a better personal life in order 2 move forward; : ) imo

I believe he is using it as a metaphor. A lighthouse principle is a moral that helps guide you along your purpose.
But yes your purpose is for you to find out.
