  • what's wrong with toilets - they are but special case of a vase, after all

  • C'est bien, mais j'ai trouvé sur mon iphone des photos de la pavilon finlandais á l'expo de Paris (1900), ca c'est beaucoup plus mignon!!

  • Amazing art.

  • I visited it yesterday and i thought it was beautiful. These pictures don't give it any justice.

  • It is a good viedo that discribing the inpiration of this nice Finland Pavilion design.

  • This was one of the best pavilions architecturally speaking. Based on some of the comments however, it seems as though most of you are looking for the giant LCD screens and protections and other crap that was in every other pavilion. Honestly after visiting just a few pavilions in one day, i didnt want to see all that stuff, unless the building itself was interesting.

  • one of the most beautiful pavilion there. the light well is stunning

  • i think it's a bit boring.

  • why did finland take a big sperm to china??

  • @ulleule What do you mean? :P Lolled

  • I wonder will all the surfaces be wipe clean, otherwise it might start to look a bit grubby.

  • the surface actually ages well. its made out of scales of recycled plastic stuff. it just looks greyish now, but still nice.

  • where are they gonna displayanything, theres no room!!!

  • @yvoe9

the exhibition display happens on the ramp in between the inner and outer skin of the structure. think guggenheim new york, also looks like a toilet

  • Beautiful but somehow it looks like a toilet

  • muy bueno!!!!

  • semivaatimaton kyl toi animointi. Toivottavasti paviljongista tulee toisaalta yhtä konstailematon. Saas nähdä myös, miten valkoisena se pysyy Shanghain saasteissa...

  • Wow i like this minimalistic architecture clean and pure form. But my fav. is Israel pavilion! :)

  • I`dont have a clue about the origin of that opening-slide image...

could someone make it clear for me?

It seems important, or is it just me?

  • It's like an inspiration board for the project. Every designer do this to get the vision of what it's going to be. It also helps customers get a right feeling about project.

  • Yeah, and exactly that`s why I was wondering, about the origin of it, or to say: what kind of object-space is on that picture? It`seemed to me like a hole, a rock-cave maybe...Either, I was`n sure and i could not connect it to the other, clearly presented elements of inspiration. Could You help me on that? Maybe it`s not so important, but anyway...

    Thank`s fkfelix!

  • @domeszab

It is a giant's kettle, a hole eroded into the rock by pebbles in a water stream during the ice age.

  • @Michelandinho

    many thnx!!

  • @domeszab

i think the firstt image can be relate to the shape of the pavilion, they look alike from the top. it might be a very famous scenery in finland, anyone knows here????

  • What program was used for the renderings??

  • I visited a Finland Expo promotion exhibition in Shanghai. There is another video to show the local conditions of Finland and we were all fascinated in it. But I can't find it anywhere, and do you have that one? I am so eager to watch again.

  • Just like the Olympic Games, China must do something about creativity.
