@youatethelastcookie yes it is safe, i also worked very hard for my ipod touch and wasnt quite sure if i wanted to jailbreak it but i tryed it and it is worth it. Some problems i have come across, 1. it crashes after you restart it (no big deal) 2. It will take FOREVER to restart or turn on 3.Your memory will be used up faster, other than these problems it is fine. I do recommend you jailbreak it. you get free apps, movies, music, themes, and much more. i hope this has helped.

@Marvin16ish Yup, Spirit will do just fine for you, it currently Jailbrokes all devices (expect iPod 1g) and all firmwares untethered. Though i heard for 3GS iPhones you can't unlock if you use this jailbreak. And just as he said, it is amazingly fast. Hope this helps you, though you probably already figured it out.

This worked great on my iphone 3GS (newer model) I up graded from 3.1.2 once i saved my blob files.

All of my previous "cracked" apps didn't work after the upgrade but it was just a matter of reinstalling them. Took some time since I have a ton of app son my phone but at least it's updated now and jailbroken :)

Now to get my ipad jailbroken........the damn screen froze after the jailbreak now I have to restore it. Shit.......
