You simply don't use full throttle and you won't spin all your power away.

You can't have a fast car too light because there is not enough weights pushing down on the tires. The less weight equals less grip which equals slower acceleration.
really you cant compare a w16 with a v8 there both cool i just prefer having more bang out of a hybrid then a gas guzzling volkswagon with a heavy price
The Veyron is a wonderful creation. But, see the Veyron has never done anything at all anywhere else than on their own completely straight and flat track. And it's always specially prepared by Bugatti(/Audi) and everything is in their control.
I kinda doubt the Veyron can do 388 km/h on the circular Nardo track. The McLaren only did, what, 350 something? On that track.

That is the CCX, not the CCXR. When this video was released in April 2007 the CCXR was still in development and had not seen a public road. The wing at the back is a standard option buyers may choose.

equally important to power and more important to handling in most types of race is weight. power-to-weight-rations define cars better.
CCX = 2601 lbs, CCXR = 2821 lbs (street legal).
Veyron = 4160 lbs.
CCX = 0.31 bhp/lb
CCXR = 0.36 bhp/lb
Veyron = 0.23 bhp/lb

post correctly the weights.. because a Koenigsegg wieghts only 1200 kg.. is 2 meters wide and 4,5 metters long.. trust me is very light.
