Yeah, thats why I retreat instead of surrendering, they can't catch you that way. When you surrender, they take your stuff and men, if you retreat you keep everyone. So accept the battle, and run to the boarders. Thats what I always do to keep stuff if attacked by like 300 men raid parties. :P

The game has a battle size of maximum 100. That means 100 men - both yours and the enemy - can be on the same battlefield at a time; not 200! (but the spawning reinforcements can make it feel like more).
It's quite easy however to increase battle size as a little 'patch' called Battle Size Changer will allow up to 1000 (if your machine can handle it)!
You can find it at mbrepository 'dot' com. Search alphabetically for Battle Size Changer.
The 'Battle Size Changer' comes with an installer and places an icon on your desktop. Then you just press the icon and drag a slider between 2-1000, depending on the battle size you want. It couldn't be easier.

these battles are so fuckikng easy if you dont adjust the difficulty slider.. I fought 25 to 150 and beat the pulp out of all of them. What i do, is have everyone hold, then I go skirmish (alone) with their battle line till they get close enough to CHARGE!!!!

Well I never got those problems...my own soldiers do exactly as I tell them, the enemy flanks you and uses very good tactics, i.e infantry backup cavalry, cavalry backup archers, archers backup infantry. Maybe you didn't but the AI difficulty to highest level in options.

Yeah, calvary is the best army, now I've got a group of 55 mercenary cav... sometime I had more than 60 + horsearchers, merc horsemen, etc.
I can get now about 80 men in my party and I'm always searching calvary... Usually I take archers to my castle, but I leave the calvary to myself. ;p

First of all you need about 160 renown (check your reports) just like when joining a faction.
Then find a claimant. The claimants are found randomly in lords halls in towns. Talk to the claimant and he/she will tell you what to do.
You basically persuade other lords to join your rebelluion and eventually 'install' the claimant as the new faction leader.
