Sold that bike twice. First time there was so much regret that I bought it back..It was a 2000 GS. I have another 1150gs now with a sidecar. Part 2 of this video will be me redoing this trip with my young son.
One of the best touring videos I have seen. This will be my next trip. A buddy and I rode from Pennsylvania to the west coast via route 66. Once we were in Oregon I wanted to head north, couldn't talk him into it. He was homesick for the wife.
I don't think my Electra Glide would do well on some of the roads in this video.
The best to ya brother and keep the shinny side up.
My husband just got to Dawson Creek on his Harley Road King. Solo camping most of the way to Alaska. Think I need to book a ticket to Anchorage after seeing this!
Great pix of a great trip. Really enjoyed the wildlife shots. You did a wonderful job of capturing the "feel" of experiencing the Alaskan wilderness from the seat of a motorcycle. I hope to do the same trip this summer with my son.
Thanks for the video.. I lived in Alaska for 4 years and I'm "homesick". I've stood in many of the very same places you were in on the video. It's amazing, I even attended the Girdwood Forrest Festival (2006)
That is an awesome video! We're moving to Anchorage in about six months. It was great to see a vid from a real person's perspective and not some dang travel ad. Thanx!
Hey Brian!! Chris here (upst8), great video man!!! I'm doing it! Not sure when, but I am doing it!! Can't wait for retirement and won't wait on friends to go with me, think it may be even more fun solo.....Thanks for sharing this. I found searching for riding the dalton. See you out there.
I don't check back on this too often, but I will say I hope I inspire just one person to "just do it". Don't put it off till retirement or until you half-assed buddies will do it with you in 2020. Just do it. It will change your life.
I'm hoping to have a new video within 2 years where I ride to costa rica.
Loved your film...what a great experience...awesome. Last year I'd viewed your film of Newfoundland which is my homeland but now in Arizona. You do great work and choose wonderful places to experience as you well know.(o:
Thanks for sharing and please continue. I can't wait to share this.
Awesome trip!

Awesome! Made my day watching this film...quite the journey you've shared. Envious!
I'd seen your other film of the trip you made to my homeland...Newfoundland. Left me quite homesick as I'm in Arizona.
Thanks for sharing.
