  • cool car

  • Rookie.....

  • @x3lazy1x3 ahah quit talkin shit and let the dude have his fun

  • @911SHIZBO i know right! i suck at drifting, but when i do it right, it feels fucken good.

  • amazing car man dreamcar

  • @Ikiakafights Lol Idiot, cars are AWD if you want to be specific.

  • i was doing this stuff today at lunch time in the school parking lot. snow never comes here

  • everything is frozen lol

  • You can't call this drifting actually. There's no counter steering. It's just hydroplaning, (snowdroplaning?).

  • @WonderfulMrShyne lol idiot, all 4wd cars drift like this

  • try drifting around that post with out the snow lol

  • the only thing about evos r that they have AWD

  • great control dude, and your evo is beautiful

  • idc how many times i watch this video its gets cooler everytime

  • All I want for christmas is youuuuuu (the fuckin car)

  • shit.... i was waiting for it to hit the pole.

  • my driving license got delayed :'(

  • aftermarket xenons?

  • Wish my Eclipse would do this...damn FWD

  • @GTechno13 Rip that e-brake lol

  • wouldnt have gone so close to that pole haha in snow, coulve hokked up with your front end

  • intercooler+ already cold air+turbo= EPIC FUN!!! lol

  • 4wd...?

  • id rly dsnt sounds that bad :O but yh i understand when you got a police station like 2 blocks away xD

  • I about shit my pants at :45

  • This looks like mad fun bro! Forget about all the shit talkers, as long as you're having fun with your baby because in the end that's all that matters. The Evo, what a beast.

  • I don't know... drifting on snow?!?

You don't need an Evo for that ... I do that with my Nissan Terano all the time. Really, no big deal. If you do this on dry concrete, then your my man.

    Greets

  • most real drifting isnt on snow either. these are rally cars.

  • I´d like to see you do it^^ any fool can slide around uncontrolled, but making it look like this needs some practise.

  • i already have enought practice :)

  • then you sould know that it takes a while till it looks like this. Do´nt assume, just becouse you can do it, everybody can do it, i´ve learned this by now :-)

  • nice vid. I do not have an evo (yet..) but am looking at getting an evo 7.

if you put the ACD in snow mode, does this make you not ever lose traction in snow conditions??? or does the car just handle a bit better if it is on snow with snow mode sellected??? i am just wondering as i have read about the tarmac/gravel/snow setting but i do not understand how it works or what it really does. can anyone help?

  • little close to that light pole.

  • OOOOHHH YEAAAHH listen to that turbo lagging like its mother; the only ting i hate about being an evo fan the turbo troubles :'(

  • love the hids got the same ones myself but u came damn close to hittign that pole twice :P

  • It's much easier than you think...

  • @routybouty especially on ice and snow lol im way better on the snow than on dry pavement lol

  • personally my heart lies with the evo but i think the scooby sounds alot meaner more brutal but if i had the choice it the evo all the time

  • @MrGunna2292 what i would do is put a scooby engine in the evo

  • i would just buyboth but would cost alot

  • snow drifting is awsome but it takes some practice pretty soon its going to snow here and i'm taking the old spyder out for some fun

  • 0:44 he comes really close to hitting that pole.

  • turbo spool at the end.

  • more like turbo flutter.

  • oh hel yeah ill hav fun doin dat

  • so coool

  • lol..panic in the show..

    i love that evo

  • looks like fun

  • do i smell a burning clutch? lol

  • i will never put my evo to snow...BUT its cool ^^

  • Why not dude thats what there made for lol let the beast have some fun

  • yeah!let yourself have fun paiyng for fixing it! :D

  • I am on the verge of talking my dad into giving me the title to my 2003 Lancer es so i can sell it and then buy an evo 8 !!! I can't wait... to do stupid shit like this :)

  • i love my EVO

  • very nice driving.

  • Evo sucks? wtf dude, what supercar are you driving?

  • an evo isnt a supercar but i wouldnt mind having one for a daily driver

  • What a sick EVO!

  • why does that evo sound so good!

  • nice one :D

  • funny :D

  • nice evo. looks like awesome fun. xP

  • 0:44 You either got extremely lucky, or your a drifting god

  • Thats One way how 2 thrash an Evo lol ;D

  • evos are built for this lol

  • I have an 05 EVO VIII Mr and live in Portland Oregon. It snowed and I was in the mall empty parking lot doing the same thing. Cop pulled me over not because I was drifting but laughed and said "Man stop cuz anyone can drift in slick snow." I stopped and went home.

  • Lol..... so you just stopped and went home? You should've said I would like to see you try.

  • My god that's a nice car, how many horses you got under the hood?

  • 380 awhp on 93 octane pump fuel. (conservative street tune)

  • hey this is going to sound stupid but how does the differnt types of gasoline differ?

  • The higher the octane, the more hp you get out of the fuel

  • gotcha, thanks

  • This is one of the most common, and un-informed responses out there about octane. Octane is not, i repeat NOT, a measure of the power available in a fuel. What octane is in fact is a measure of a fuels resistance to detonation. (exploding rather than burning evenly) The ONLY reason that higher octane is associated with higher power is because it allows you to run an engine closer to it's limit, specifically with a higher compression ratio, without having detonation.

  • Yes, I know that. I didn't feel like explaining all that for simplicity's sake...and I never said its a measure, I just said that a higher octane gives more hp then a lower octane.

  • hydro got owned

  • what mods? cause it dont sound like you have that much

  • haha I know. I had the silencer in the exhaust tip to keep the noise down as much as possible. I hate the way it sounds. This parking lot is about 1/2 a block from a police station so I have to have it in. Check my other vids to hear the exhaust note without the silencer.

  • @dernemax you have very good control! i enjoyed this video alot

  • it's not harder to drift wiht an all wheel drive it is actually quite easy once you learn when to hol dan dlet go of the e-brake

  • Nice!

  • yo this evo is super sexy the snow makes it even better and nice driving

  • its a lot harder to drift with a 4 wheel drive

  • i would take an evo or an sti. all evos look way better except for the 1999 wrx and 2006 sti. but with a quality turboback exhaust very few cars sound better than an sti

  • Agreed. STi's have an awesome rumble.

  • That looks like so much fun.

  • Funny how the kids today use the term "drifting" like it is some NEW thing they invented....hahahaha...when I was a kid we just called it "getting squirley"!!!

  • or "powersliding" :)

  • lol. The term "drifting" is mistaken so much with "powersliding", it pisses me off.

  • exactly power sliding is when all wheels make a mark drifting is only back wheels

  • wow, thank you. sum1 who actually knows wut theyre talking about too. hahahah. Sum guys like, the guy that invented drifting even says u can drift ina fwd car. hahahaha. who gives wut he thinks, he discovered drifting, not invented it.

  • nice dude

  • yeah... don't get a Subaru.. it's not like they're rally based cars or anything and they've never won a rally champoinship.. much.. you fucking retard, tsiturbomightym

  • I have nothing bad to say about STi's at all. I love them.

  • lol their motors cant stay together?? i know a guy down the street has a subie with over 600,000 kms on the original motor, so long as you take care of it, it will last forever

  • lol, um lets see. I'll take an Evo over an STi anyday, mostly because im a Mitsu guy. But i wouldnt be so quick to make assumptions on Subaru motors and part components. Subaru motors can handle whatever abuse and power you give it, just like the famous Mitsubishi motor known as the 4g63 series. And they don't base designs off Mitsubishi (had to do with WRC regulations). Mitsubishi was just mainstream by the Fast and the Furious movies, STi and Evo are both great cars tho, love them =)

  • lol its amazing how stupid some people are. nothing against evos, but look at an sti and evo, are their designs anything alike? the only thing they have in common are AWD. plus boxers sound way better than ur shitty ricer POS cars

  • You must be the breed of bill gates cause wow you are smart. Your a fucking retard, they are the exact same and they are both rice, the fucking Subaru sounds like a fucking Saab running on three cylinders. Their motors in deed do suck and there tranny's I dont even want to get started. My buddy used to work at Subaru and he will even tell you how gay the subaru is. To the guy that said that it was WRC regulations is false, otherwise Citroen and Ford and the rest would all look the same.

  • the boxster is a girl's car and a poor man's porsche. the evo and sti were both inspired by rally racing and they do share similar physical characteristics. so shut your ass up, put on your skirt and heals, and lose to an import in your busta ass porsche. or better yet. scrap that shit and buy a carrera gt if you can handle it. just don't wrap it around a tree.

  • None of them said anything about a porsche boxster, he said the boxer sounds better...thats the type of engine the subarus have a boxer...

  • 0:43 damn crazy ass. i never get that close with my evo

  • nice driving

  • hows the traction on the evo?

cant help but feel that the evo is more street ready that anything else.

would this car be good for daily drives in snow and back dirt roads?

  • Its all in the tires. Good tires (and terrain specific) = Awesome traction. Drive summer tires in the snow = terrible. All seasons are so-so...

  • i would think so. id just use thicker tires

  • OMG, the EVO is the best car for daily driving in snow and dirt roads, they are a rally based car so yeah they will definetly be what your looking for, and do not go subaru those things are garbage.

  • Yah but they arent running rally cars with stock tires.

  • Thats why I said rally based, good blizzaks go for around 400-500 for all four and that you cant beat.

  • Oh sorry didnt catch that and yah for shere

  • That's way too cheap... tires for the car I own only come in size from one retailer, they cost approximately $300,00 each.

  • nice car m8 :)

  • beautiful!

  • AKINA SNOW!

  • please go faster nice car though

  • may i say that the paintjob that the snow has done is fucking awesome. if only it wasn't snow. haha otherwise that looks like fucking fun.

  • Too much fun, looked like me a few days ago.

  • STFU clayton

  • love the blue lights

  • yep

  • YES

    success

  • quiet riley

  • omg i love drifting

  • that god u didnt wreck that beautiful machine

  • quick question.... is the evolution's AWD system good in the snow?

  • yes!!! :D

  • ok good to know!!! :D lol

  • Just don't drive in the snow with the advans....

  • advans?

  • The stock tires are yokohama advans, and they are only good in warm weather. They are horrible in the snow. They are not recommended to be used in weather around 40 degrees and below. Take it from someone who's driven with them in the snow, not worth it at all. Just get some snow tires. If you got the money, get another set of wheels just for the snow tires, so you don't have to swap tires back and forth.

  • oooohhh... good to know thanks

  • what kind of tires would you recommend?

  • The dunlop wintersport m3's are great, so are michelin pilot alpins, A bunch of other people like blizzaks for the evo, but I've never used them so I don't know.

  • I want EVO VIII

  • at 0:42 i thought u were gonna hit it lol

  • I haven't driven my 06 IX in the snow yet, but when I had an 03 VIII it was like butter. I was in control all of the time. It was soo much fun. We used to go out when the snow was coming down heavy cause there was less retards out. We even watched the radar so we knew when the snow was coming, and stayed up till 3am just to drive in the snow! haha

  • +1 That's exactly what we do

  • Looked very close at :42!!

  • add a turbo or 2

  • do you know how much costs that car ? and how much cost addading a new turbo? And it got an turbo !!!

  • ???

  • it lyk the car and the guy are 1....

  • nice evo

  • its a nice looking car

  • i have a question do you have control when u are in a drift

  • Yes, you balance your momentum with throttle and steering inputs.

  • Cars like this and the Impreza truly are brilliant. They can make even the worst drivers into absolute heroes due to their excellent handling and the confidence they give the driver.

Still you got close to that post, I wouldn't like to do that in mine!

  • Hahahaah you loser. Look at you making assumptions about me because I made a comment about the handling on these cars.

The chassis gives that much grip on them even a complete novice can easily control them when they start to lose control.

I don't recall saying anything about people changing from a FWD to AWD, I merely stated that the cars themselves were good for instilling confidence in a driver.

  • Well that is your opinion then. You don't have to be an obnoxious shit and call me a fag do you? If you ever actually get one we will see if you change your tune. Then you will understand the grip and control this type of car has, rather than just slagging people off who are actually complimenting on the car, and the balls that the driver in the video had to get that close to the pole.

  • im gonna have to agree with you on that one. These cars although not my taste, with their sophisticated systems allow anyone to push their limits.

  • Very crazy guy.....but very good to do it!!!

  • is the evo 4wd?

  • Yes it has AWD with ACD (Active Center Differential) which means there are 3 selectable settings for the AWD system. You can toggle between "Tarmac" "Gravel (also used for wet surfaces)" and "Snow".

  • r u at a store

  • oh yeah and way to Bunta that thing so close to the light post...thts sick shit, i like to to see sick shit like tht lol

  • My transfer case is fine. lol. The Evo TC handles this kind of driving like a champ, it's a rally car. The Active Center differential set to snow. that's right, Evo IXs have a specific setting for snow drifting. I think I was actually kind of gentle on the car, you can find other vids of evo owners goin off way more than me.

  • the VIII MR was was the first of the line to have that setting...shitz fat. i want one so bad lol either tht or an sti id be happy with either.

  • the evo VII has the setting and im sure my old evo VI had it have had VI, VII, and now VIII im not sure if the earlier ones had it or not but im sure from VI onward they had snow setting

  • You are right, this technology was not in USDM Evo's until the 05 MRs and IXs. Other countries had it. Kind of like how USDM Evos only got AYC in the Evo X but other countries had it since the Evo VIII.

  • looks like fun..

but say goodbye to your T case hahahaha

  • nice

  • that place looks familiar haha

  • nice drift man. what kind of tires. iight hope you had fun. later man.

    -Han

  • 2006 Black Evo IX GSR. Doing what it was made for.
