@d2eux No. Atheism has nothing to offer. It has no out look, no philosophy, no change, no growth. The tenants of current wave of atheism are "if you say x, I get to say the exact opposite lol cuz my professor says I am smart lol." ::shakes head::
@cpufightclub atheism offers freedom from a religion telling you what to do, to make what you will of your life. Yes you can have change, one is free to choose and make their own morality. (within reason of course, we are bound by laws, i hope!)
Truelly an epic movie, i love this genre, and watched Braveheart and LOTR like well over a hundred times when i was younger, and this one blows them away, but after seeing the Director's Cut and the original longer version, i can see why the former was more of a let down.
Ok, wait wait. You think this was better than Braveheart and LOTR? I will have to respectfully disagree. How so? LOTR has so many themes that go unnoticed when you are little, as well as Braveheart.
Certainly, this movie had themes too, but it feels fragmented, and the performances are lacking from the actors. Some scenes worked, but overall it could have used much improvement. I still have yet to see the Revisited edition
Again, if anyone has experience with dvd audio ripping I highly encourage you to please try to do this yourself and upload the results. I dont have expertise in that area. But I know that method WILL yield much better results than what I did
Man! Cudos to you for taking the time to edit this beautiful song and for APPRECIATING how great it is! That was one thing that I was completely amazed about was that THIS version was replaced by a horribly cheasy version as heard on the soundtrack. This version from the film is as haunting as it is brilliant and one of the best scenes from the film, in my opinion. I didn't LOVE the film but it had a lot of truly great scenes.
"The Final Cut" is remarkable, and one of the best epics I've ever seen. A shame it wasn't the one released in theatres. I love the Hindu Kush sequence.
Yeah, Alexander Revisited: The Final Cut. It's longer, and the battle of Guagamela is brought to the front so you meet all the characters through that perspective. Check it out I think you'll be won over.
thats good, because to me, the battle was so poorly choreographed I couldnt tell what the heck was going on. Maybe we get a few lines of dialogue for Darius? :)
Well we get more lines from Darius... but they're still one liners like "Bring these men up" and "GOOOO! GOOOO!!!!!" lol. I thought it was a really good movie though.
It does actually make sense, that battle, but to be honest, I had to watch it a few times before I knew what the smack was going on! It does achieve in conveying the sheer scope of the battle, though, I mean seeing how huge these armies were.
NOW WHO THE HELL HAS THE MUSIC FOT WHEN THEY'RE GOING AFTER DARIUS INTO THE EAST INTO UNKNOWN LANDS ETC.???!!!! Can ANYONE PLEASE HELP A GUY OUT??!!!

I liked the film, in fact, it was my favourite of 2004, despite what most people said.
I love the Alexander Revisited edition however, it's more complete and better structured.

Just saw the "revisited" version the other day. Incredible movie.

I thought the movie itself was pretty mediocre. Im waiting for another director to make a biopic of Alexander.
Thats just my opinion, although it did have its moments
