Still, I thought it came with Windows Movie Maker

yes but movie maker crashes when i give it video files from my camera.

oh yeah just to let people know: microsoft is planning to release windows vista with a new name

i can't get any video editing software to work on my computer it just crashes the system

Then buy as new CPU then.

it IS a new CPU, sadly the only operating system that i can get hold of now is windows vista. it is hard enough to put that title card on the start (about 15 mins!)
