  • Hi, the wig that you colored was it virgin hair?

  • @dimples921 .. no virgin hair has no color... they come in natural colors only

  • Do you have a step bye step video. You said you dyed it without affecting the lace but you dont show how you avoided the lace. Can you change a virgin off black until the a light brown without changing the lace color. I'm scared i was mess up the lace and i wont have a realistic part anymore. (the wig is off black and the lace is meduim brown). PLEASE HELP! THANK YOU :-)

  • @Ella11238 ... Chica.. i am not a professional but i used Clairol Complements Color from Sally's. This worked for me. Now to change dark hair to a light color is going to be a task.... you will need to strip it first and then color. It is really hard to move from dark to light, but simple to move from light to dark.. I hope this helped.

  • you didnt show how you did it in the video.do you have a step bye step video?

  • @Ella11238 ... i did not do a step by step sorry

  • Hey, thanks for the tips. I went out and purchased the Clairol Complements Demi-Color 4N product. Question: Do I have to mix it with the Demi Developer? Sally's Beauty Supply was running a special where if you brought the demi-color you received the developer and a box of the demi permanente for free.

    Thanks again.

  • @sjenks183 .. Yes i used Developer 10..

  • so, you dyed your wig and even if you got the demi color on the lace, it just washed out without staining it? I think that is the million dollar question here. lol

  • @kngdiana1 ... yes ma'am it washed right out without affecting the lace at all.... My lace has no stains on it from the dye.. and i went really close to the roots.. i hope this helps

  • how long does the demi color last? have u ever experienced the color bleeding?

  • @hotvirgirl .... I used the permanant color.... It has not bleed as of yet.. not sure if it will momma...

  • Please please tell me how did you protect the lace? Vaseline, cooking spray??

  • I did not use anything at all.

  • Wow.. so you just had to be extra careful with dye at the roots?

  • I used Clairol Complements DEMI COLORS... use a perm brush and get as close to the roots as possible. DEMI color will not affect the lace color at all.

  • Does the color run when it gets wet on your cloths? How long does it stay before it fades?

  • Also do you think it would be better to use foil in between?

  • I dont know chica. I haven't tried that

  • I have a remy lace wig that was suppose to be a #2 but is the color of this one which is a #4 and I want to dye it but am afraid to get dye on the lace. How did you manage to not get your lace colored? What method did you use?
