@brandontheprodigy I think it's an excellent game, the online is rather glitchy though and sometimes (too often) just disconnects and gives you a loss and DNF (the "cord-puller" indicator) sooo :|
@brandontheprodigy Don't rent it, if you do, it means you can't play online. I wouldn't recommend buying it personally, I loved the first one, which is why it's so sad that this one is terrible.

The submission system is fucked up again. it was on 09 and it is on 2010 you can rarely lock in a submission and yes roll the stick hasnt worked they fucked it up so dont give me online attitude you pathetic waste of space.
@j3m4z submissions arent hard at all. you just need to know how to do them. its a bit more complicated that 2009 but my caf so far has 14 submission victories
@Overd0se87 i saw your comment on how to get out of the clinch...what you do is transition to a dominate position like you do any other transition then when you got double under-hooks or both of your hands around his head all you have to do is click the left stick in like you would the right stick to perform a submission i hope this helps
@Victorgoleche75 i wouldn't buy it just because it's 60 bucks. I always wait unitl a game is 30 bucks or lower then get it. 2010 has improved features over 09's like swaying. I'm going to get 2010 eventually. Hope this helps.

what's the best way to get out of the clinch when your opponent puts you in it? Everytime I rotate the stick we just keep transitioning in the clinch,I always have to go for a takedown in order for me to get out..how do I just push him away?

This game is absolute garbage. The online community has the biggest pieces of shyt this world has to offer. 1) ppl use auto takedown chars and do nothing but mix straight punches and takedowns. 2) DUMMY haxors are out there now ( look it up if u dont know what i mean ) 3) literally over half the games ur winning ur oppenent will DC himself b4 u can get the win and 4) u find these ppl who have records of 2 or 3 ko's and 100+ submissions...hax much? game is TRASH, DON'T BUY !
I love this years game along with the combat improvements there is more game modes that last years career, exhibition, and a recreate the results of select matches.
This year you can actually use really fighters in tourneys, win and defend the title, just to name a few.
Looking for even more improvements in the coming years!
Nothing really change with the submissions, I actually find it harder this year! Fighting the computer against submissions has become more difficult; you have no time to pull out, just a quick tap out.
I would say that the submission game still needs more tweaking.
the only thing I wish they would add is more fighting styles. In the old UFC games you could choose many fighting styles. It is supposed to be mixed martial arts. besides that, it looks very fun!
i still remember when mark L got owned by matt serra a couple seasons ago on the ultimate fighter. it was cause he was talkin shit about royce gracie in the hughes vs gracie fight.... hes still doin it, so i guess he didnt learn his lesson.
subs are all about stamina it dosent matter how good ur guy is on the ground if hes tired 90% of the time its over... but this works both ways turn on the stamina bar if ur opponet gets tired take advantage of it... strength fighters mash the buttons but the most effective is a good bjj guy where u roll the stick.... i have over 100 sub wins online trust me it works lol

Man I hated the submissions in 09 even on beginner I just couldn't get a submission or even get out of one and I was practically fucking breaking the right stick... I don't know if it was a glitch in my game but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get a submission... I mean after the first 3 - 4 days of playing whenever someone got me in a submission I just put the controller down and left the room because it was just impossible, I never played it online so I don't know if thats easier...
@jayparrish1 The only way to get a sub is to make sure your your stamina is in the green and your opponents stamina is in the red. I think its also possible to submit someone when they are rocked. Also if you counter a take-down its easier to submit.
@truendymion but when my stamina is in the green and theirs is in the green or red it doesn't matter... because I just can't get out of a sub... I can be playing as a BJJ fighter with green stamina and I'll be submitted by a boxer/wrestler with red and they'll still make me tap it doesn't even show any sign of me escaping... It doesn't even show me resisting my character just lays their lifeless... its not my controller or my game and its not the difficulty cuz it happens on beginner as well...

Played the demo it's an amazing game!! far better than UFC 2009. Yet the only thing i picked up on that wasn't authentic about the fighting physics is when you punch the face and nock them out it doesn't look like you hitting there face almost like a bad invisible force stopping that flesh to flesh contact like EA was able to perfect in Fight night round 4. EA's has the most sophisticated physics engine out there by far. And that includes the fifa franchise to follow.
and for the love of God please tell Bruce that he needs to come back in a rerecord the damn intros and after match audio and tell the producers that I (we if you guys would be in to it as well) want walk in i want the full UFC experience from the walk to the cut man applying vasilene to looking into the crowd and the occasional UFC fighter attending the event and another thing to consider is prefight shit talking as well i mean might as well so we dont get a lame remake in 2011

R3.
You can also press the Right stick away from your opponent to lock his arms and
prevent a take down or slam it will also drain his energy if he keeps trying just make sure your characters arms our hooked

This game is absolute garbage. The online community has the biggest pieces of shyt this world has to offer. 1) ppl use auto takedown chars and do nothing but mix straight punches and takedowns. 2) DUMMY haxors are out there now ( look it up if u dont know what i mean ) 3) literally over half the games ur winning ur oppenent will DC himself b4 u can get the win and 4) u find these ppl who have records of 2 or 3 ko's and 100+ submissions...hax much? game is TRASH, DON'T BUY !

I love this years game along with the combat improvements there is more game modes that last years career, exhibition, and a recreate the results of select matches.
This year you can actually use really fighters in tourneys, win and defend the title, just to name a few.
Looking for even more improvements in the coming years!

Nothing really change with the submissions, I actually find it harder this year! Fighting the computer against submissions has become more difficult; you have no time to pull out, just a quick tap out.
I would say that the submission game still needs more tweaking.

the only thing I wish they would add is more fighting styles. In the old UFC games you could choose many fighting styles. It is supposed to be mixed martial arts. besides that, it looks very fun!

subs are all about stamina it dosent matter how good ur guy is on the ground if hes tired 90% of the time its over... but this works both ways turn on the stamina bar if ur opponet gets tired take advantage of it... strength fighters mash the buttons but the most effective is a good bjj guy where u roll the stick.... i have over 100 sub wins online trust me it works lol

Man I hated the submissions in 09 even on beginner I just couldn't get a submission or even get out of one and I was practically fucking breaking the right stick... I don't know if it was a glitch in my game but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get a submission... I mean after the first 3 - 4 days of playing whenever someone got me in a submission I just put the controller down and left the room because it was just impossible, I never played it online so I don't know if thats easier...

@jayparrish1 The only way to get a sub is to make sure your your stamina is in the green and your opponents stamina is in the red. I think its also possible to submit someone when they are rocked. Also if you counter a take-down its easier to submit.

@truendymion but when my stamina is in the green and theirs is in the green or red it doesn't matter... because I just can't get out of a sub... I can be playing as a BJJ fighter with green stamina and I'll be submitted by a boxer/wrestler with red and they'll still make me tap it doesn't even show any sign of me escaping... It doesn't even show me resisting my character just lays their lifeless... its not my controller or my game and its not the difficulty cuz it happens on beginner as well...

@jayparrish1 Yeah i had the same problem, it's imposible, i played for like 2 weeks but i didn't make a submission or got out of one, not even once. tried everything and read the manual like 50.000 times.......... i sold the game after 2 weeks, bought Fight night Round 4 instead! best thing i ever done!

Played the demo it's an amazing game!! far better than UFC 2009. Yet the only thing i picked up on that wasn't authentic about the fighting physics is when you punch the face and nock them out it doesn't look like you hitting there face almost like a bad invisible force stopping that flesh to flesh contact like EA was able to perfect in Fight night round 4. EA's has the most sophisticated physics engine out there by far. And that includes the fifa franchise to follow.

1. 2010 is going to be just like 2009 BUT the extra things as far as the combat system goes make the game 10 times better.
2. The career looks like it may be better than 2009...
