About how long does it take between certification levels? I ask because I'm part of a team that is participating in a contest, and part of the contest consists of a high power launch (probably level 2). None of us are certified even for level one. So we are considering both the options of going through the certification process for levels one and two (which we'd like to do anyway) or to go ahead and find a ringer for that portion of the contest haha.
For more information on rocketry. Please contact your local NAR or Tripoli club. You can get a mentor and they can show you the ropes. Certification involves alot of experience and hard work this takes some flyers years. It took me 4 years to get to L3.
@noslashnognr Theoretically you could do each level in one day as long as you have the motors delivered to your club, and get all the paperwork filled
Sweet flight! I am doing my L3 on a PR 4" Intimidator with an AT M1297W this year at Southern Thunder. Should do about 12k also. Do you have a build thread on yours anywhere?
On that motor it just kissed the sound barrier. It runs right up against Mach1. About 780MPH. But it's there for less then a second.
