not that much sugar at all. most dessert recipes call for that amt of sugar for such a big pan. not sure why people are complaining about the sugar. this is a sweet dessert.

I have a recipe for Tarte Tatin that uses cinnamon and star anise spices, and a puff pastry dough. I think its much better.

@ShinjuHoshi Yes you can, add the cinnamon powder together with the apples at the beginning of the recipe
