  • i like it

  • ok so i have 2 soundstream RBW-12

they are dual 4ohm voice coils

what would be a good amp to power them?

    there 600 watts rms each

    and for the wiring

would i run series wiring then parallel to the amp?

because i want to run them at 4 ohms

and series wiring would put them at 8 ohms and parallel would be 2 ohms

  • nnnnnnnnnn

  • what would happen if you try to bridge a DVC sub with a SVC sub that are rated the same?

  • @DisfiguringTheAndy You don't 'technically' bridge a sub, you bridge the amp so I'm not completely sure how you have them wired... Best way to think of a DVC sub in your system though is as 2 SVC subs - in other words you can run it internally in parallel or series following the rough guidelines in my video, so you will effectively end up driving the equivalent of 3 subs. However your best results will generally come from using matched subs if possible.

  • @TheLatinking28 Glad I could help. It sounds like you have some pretty high-end gear but you still want to be pretty careful running your amp at 1ohm - most amps are not stable at that load so you could damage the amp. You can probably afford to run a bit more power into your sub but I suggest you get in touch with the guys at Rockford Fosgate first to confirm your setup will not damage the amp.

  • sorry but sony subs suck i know people with 2 12''s and my old 8'' sounded better now i have 2 pioneer 12''s and they made my rear view fall off

  • Sony is sooooooooo such a Gayyyy with sound and bass qualiy!!!! stay with playstation Sony

  • nice add

  • cheers

  • i have 2 volfenhag subs and when i hook up both sets of voice coils the subs dont work but when i unhook 1 of them it works? whats wrong?

  • @uga4life23 its because you have volfenhag subs, they suck balls.

  • the subwoofer xsl126p5 support amplifier XM-ZR1252?

  • Don't you think if there is a slight delay in sending the signal to one coil to another it will oppose each other and create distortion? coz both will be working independently for same speaker!

  • There's a risk of this if you're using 2 seperate amps (or channels) and running the coils independently, but this is a pretty uncommon way of using these (you could also damage the speaker if the signal is different to both coils so it's certainly not recommended!)... In the more common 'series' and 'parallel' methods the same signal (and phase) is sent to both coils so it's not an issue.

  • @sonylearntv i would like to ask u a question hope u can help. i have 1 15inch CVX right now and getting another one soon. can i hook my 1 sub up at parallel wiring and hook the other one up when i get it. the same way i hooked the first one up ?
