The big deal about a removable batt is the Feds can't make your Service Provider send that silent running tap app to your phone. Look it up they have already done it, people think they have turned there phone off but this app downloads/installs itself and runs when you think you have cut the phone off. It turns your mic on and transmits or records audio. The only way to dodge it is to take the battery out of the phone. Instinct wins. Watch soon all new cell phones will have internal batts.

Well you see thats the beauty of having an iPhone. The iPhones ARM chip comes with TustZone which is a real time code checker. If ANYTHING other than signed code is installed onto the phone the chip automatically kills the process. Plus I highly doubt that the feds are that desperate to collect audio from millions of people. It is out now, but it was on back order through telesales last time I checked. It's selling pretty dang fast. You may be able to pick one up in a local Sprint store. Okay you guys who are saying that the Instinct is better in all ways are retarded. I have a Sprint HTC Touch and an iPod Touch. Here's one point...REV.A is going to be faster that at&t's upcoming 3G for the iphone G2...no doubt..but understand that this ad was made in favor of the Instinct. it's all good, and it's not that serious man. Don't be so emotional man CHucky. Research is easy and i've been done that: for Sprint users- 43% of the time they max 600kbps, 24% 400kbps. Cingular HSDPA reports 600Kbps 67% of usage time. True EVDO REV-A is better but not by a wide margin or night & day difference my friend.

Video Capture is a no brainer & will be there (as well as Vid Chat) & let's not talk about upcoming apps and OS stability and superiority- OSX on iPhone kills WinMobile.

The instinct is guaranteed to have, MMS, chat,video recording, picture/video mail, MS exchange, live TV, wireless music download (no need for wifi), Rev-A speed, true GPS due to built-in GPS chip. Basically what you would expect in a $600 phone which the 1st iphone cost but lacked. Also, many folks have said the 1st iphone had constant updates. The next iphone will basically be running the same OS as the 1st one...

I want to point out that wifi is NOT in rural areas, NOT on trains, you CANNOT maintain a seamless connection from block to block, let-alone city to city. Wifi is only as fast as the connection it is connected to, wifi boast speeds up 50mbps. However, due to the large amount of traffic the speeds ave 1mbps down. Every airport I've been to wifi is worthless, too much traffic, speeds ave 300kbps to 400kbps down. Rev-A is at every airport with an ave 1.5mbps to 3mbps down due to 45Mbps backbones.

The point of it is the ipod-phone needs wifi to download music. Apparently the second generation ipod-phone will still need wifi to download music because;

1) ATT's 3G network is still too slow,

2) ATT's  is actually 3G-Edge not HSDPA which is still much-much slower than Sprint Rev-A.

3) ATT's 3G cuts the battery life in half on the ipod-phone.
