That's why I cringe at the thought of a biopic on Pac. While I would like to see one, I believe that unless the chosen actor really nails his essence and at least looks a bit like him, it'll seem like a caricature or cartoon. Being Tupac is not about being "crazy" or thuggish (as he was portrayed in Notorious), but passionate, fiery and inspired to act. As a fellow Gemini, I know all about being split personality, but it's not being nice or mean, it's about a nice person being pushed to the wall

While I understand the movie's about Biggie and produced/created by his family and other close people, they still really poured on the sugar when it came to Biggie's portrayal. It made it seem like his worst actions were selling drugs and womanizing/cheating. In terms of Tupac's portrayal, it was almost worse how they made it seem that the beef between Biggie and Pac could have been solved with a phone call. And Biggie going to down to save/help Pac during the NY studio shooting? Pure fantasy.

I think too many people (as with most biopics) are taken in by the sugary portrayal and their own emotions. I hope that if and when there's a Tupac biopic they don't sugarcoat who he was. That would be a major disservice to Tupac himself. I bet even he wouldn't like that. He'd like a movie about him to show who he was, warts and all. Tupac could be nice, friendly, goofy, smart and sensitive, but also mean, blunt and vindictive. I want to see all of that in a Tupac biopic.
