I don't get it, how can someone who loves music not to recognize Neil Tennant's (from Pet Shop Boys) voice? It is so exceptional! Chances to guess wrong are probably a billion to one. But I havent read all that information as well for I was prepared to listen a Killers song. And I was just shocked to hear Neils voice here. Shocked in a more than very positive way. I was deeply fascinated! My only wish Neil had leastways a few verses more than those 7 seconds. What a glorious part of the song!

God knows I'm a huge fan of The Killers, I love the vocals of Brandon Flowers, I respect Elton John but it's beyond comparision. Hearing Neil's voice between those two just confirms how exceptional it is. But I'm not gonna say I didn't know it. I just felt it so sharp that even hurts. I could even live for the moments like this.

I was underwhelmed at first, but it grew on me as I listened. I'll admit that I was cringing at the thought of Elton John recording new material at this point, but it sounds just like the work he did in his glory days (the '70s). For some reason, I can't see any video, so my judgment is based on the audio alone. Could the "old and gay" comments below be more a reaction to seeing him sing than how he sounds? Interesting, as a PSB fan, it's strange to hear Neil singing in a song like this, it's not in a very PSB style. I know that really it's a Killers and EJ song though, Neil only wrote one verse, although it would have been nice to hear more of his voice, esp doing background harmonies, I think the other two drown him out a bit. To me, it sounds more like an EJ song than anything else. I think BF's vocal sounds great though and it's very interesting lyrically, a really great Christmas song idea.
