This fucking asshole up there is telling you that this is not the right way of hitting the makiwara and that you have no technique, but, you know that now everybody is a critc, and a martial arts champion.
Oh right, I was wondering. Well he should have bothered to read all the comments then if he's got something to say, so that he understands the nature of the video. It doesn't really look exciting on a video using traditional form. Anyway thanks a lot hah. And nice to hear it. I mean your comment not his.
yo i know you wanna get your bones harder but do you want to pay thr price of damaged nerves arthritus and alot of other fucked up medical conditions in the future? you won't be young forever and it will begin to take its toll on you one day! I believe in training hard but training safe an smart come first
To be honest I don't really do any conditioning, I haven't got time to fit it in with all other kinds of training, I just did it for the video that's all. Haven't done it properly for years. And even then it was only briefly.
I do this kind of training, but I would like to suggest that your punches need to be more aligned and that your wrist is bent to much at times. Basically, I want to tell you your form is not that good, and over time this kind of training will damage your joints badly, even though your bones will be stronger.
Hahah thank you for your concern however, there are two reasons why it is like this in the vid. One is for dramatic effect, because it's a vid. In normal training I will always use alignment for safety. Although I don't get chance to do much conditioning anyway. The second reason is the my striking method in real fists is not orthodox, because it is not limited to traditional movements so this is also expressed in the vid.
Good to see the true understanding of the warrior! Martial arts training is connecting the invisible lines between styles & systems. The highest warriors fight with surprising similarity of balance hard and soft, internal and external, defensive and offensive. Bruce Lee himself said man has only two arms and two legs, how can I use them to the maximum. He was right there are only so many ways to fight using the human body how can I make the best use of my body in a fighting situation.
Damn I would hate to be hit by your fist! A forgotten training discipline, bone conditioning. I always shake my head when someone says they hurt their hand hitting someone, thats what this training is for. I have conditioned now for over eight years. First on an old desk top from our garbage I hung up and now the wooden support columns for out tack building. Story's of Mas Oyama inspired me, living in the mountains striking trees thousands of times a day...truly a Godhand!
i am now bound by no system, since they do not exist, only in the minds of human beings. i was freed from the systems i was engaged in by the true principles and philosophies of jkd.
Someone who agrees with me. It's true there are different methods and approaches, but only one style, the human style. It's just like how the lines of nations aren't on the earth itself.
fukken hell yeah finally another out there who sees reality, which applies to all aspects of life and the universe. precisely the correct understanding that the majority of the planet cannot grasp.
hahah it's just talc it doesn't do anything it's just for effect. to make it look like an old dusty thing just for effect. it's not at all necessary, just visual.
hah i kinda like using it, i used it cause these clips were for the vids i made the music/video things, but this vid here is just one clip from the vids with it's original sound (ie smash crack etc)....
well no. i used to hit the sandbag bare hands without bandages and the skin from the knuckless went of but i still kept hitting 2 weeks or so and after it heald i had that thing on the tendon
damn sounds like something that would happen to me. actually i have a blob thing on my wrist but i think it was typing too much at work where i used to work not training. or maybe both at once combined. i get all sorts of crap. i crushed my spine when i was 18 and couldn't walk for probably 6 months or something. crushed my ankle once. recently slipped a disc in my spine. got knee, elbow, shoulder, arm, wrist, hip/groin, spine and ankle injuries.... :-(
hah nah they're just from training etc. actually i'm not ok now this training in the vid is i'm training up to recover, having problems with all the injuriess still. i am interested in training for movies now though.
so do you gotta take alot of calcium when doing this shit or what?

Ashame the post was lifted - still, just goes to show, development can be one dimensional.
Thank you
chandao108 4 years ago
sorry i don't understand what you mean?
dalung 4 years ago
Damn - that came out all wrong! Apologies to you. I meant to say ashame it all fell apart - with Dan leaving, etc.
Still, you techique looks very good. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you
PS: I discarded an earlier post by accident - hence the 'lift'. Crazy abstraction on my part!
