  • I have seen those call fixtures on the floor you started on made out of metal once before. I guess that was a vandal-resistant variant.

  • I think I might've seen them a long time ago as well.

  • The instant door close was one of Haughton's best features! It's rare to see an unmodernized Haughton, since their last installation was in 1976. (They were bought by Schindler in 1979.)

  • I loved that as well. Wish more elevators did that. How ironic Schindlers don't close at all when you press the button (I know, fire service). Hindsight tells me I forgot to get the nameplate in the center of the car.

  • Did those have the name plate in the center?

  • They did, but I seem to always overlook them in any elevator.

  • Bummer. :(

  • I know.

I may have even overlooked the classic Otis plates as well.

  • I didn't say a name plate in the center of either car, unless you're referring to the door track.

  • Sometimes I do, sometimes, I get those on camera. I got a few "Otis/Sito" ones as well.

  • Oops. I meant to say "see, " not "say."

  • Since I butchered what I said:

I forgot to get the name plates in the center of elevators, but I sometimes do get the nameplates in the door tracks.

    Hope I cleared myself up.

  • Oh and they don't appear to have been modernized.

  • ...which is a good thing.

  • Looks late 60s or 70s.

  • The building I think was '50's or '60's, so I would guess '60's. Didn't see any date on the building, though.
