  • 2 great songs!

  • i would like "cheap day return" was longer

  • @issu100 - I, too, wish 'both songs' were "neverending!" I love this kind of 'classical-style' guitar playing!

And...the guitar was/is played by the genus flautist/singer/songwriter of Jethro Tull, Ian Anderson.

His daughter is married to the star of "The Walking Dead," Andrew Lincoln. Ian Anderson is infallable in EVERYTHING, it seems! :)

  • Simplesmente maravilhoso.

  • good musicians for sure I still remember listening to mother goose for the first time i immediately thought of the middle ages with images of tournaments, ladies -in waiting, pennants blowing in the wind, jesters wearing colorful costumes, and of course troubadors and minstrels

  • I remember back in 74 when i was 16,played the album so much and my grandparents said the couldn't understand a word of it,so i have to invest in so headphones.I will i had forthought to keep all these albums, especially the Janis albums.

  • I wore this album out in 1974 the acoustic tracks on this album deserve more air play they make this album

  • It's a beautiful song to listen if you want to sleep, she's awesome ..

  • Thanks Omegle pal, this is OP.

  • @TSWG88 no problem man

  • a Flippin Classic mate!!!! As well as the album Aqualung!!!!!

  • Aqualung remains the best album ever made. Every song was so brilliant all by their own right, but if you look at the album as a whole....well, ironically, I think Aqualung proves God does exist:p

  • @DominoGray Actually, the album proves that God exist, but it's against all kinds of 'behavior laws' and institutionalization of the church. It tells that everyone has their inner god, and there is no need of going to the church every single sunday or that kind of stuff. God has no laws...he doesn't mind how you believe in him, or how you demonstrate your respect, he just want to be loved by his own creations.

sorry for any grammar mistakes :p

  • These 2 tunes were the reason I fell in love with Jethro Tull....1976...FACT :D

  • For years I had no idea what "Cheap Day Return" meant until I visited London in 1989. It's a round trip train ticket where you have to return the same day.

  • Saw them live last night. :')

  • 2 sleeps and I'm seeing them live...going alone but still soooo stoked!!

  • this song is short and tasty as little wing, leaves you wanting more but it was just enough.

  • Who does the backup vocals for mother goose is it Martin Barre? That is tasty and so painfully English at the same time lol.

  • Ian should get Jim Henson to make a music video for this song using his Muppets. Just my personal opinion.

  • i love this song i am 18 years old and have always been around classic rock like Uriah heap, Jethro tull and so on and when i look at my generations music i sigh in despair and think what ever happened to the world

  • @puseye I know! Went to see them at Union Chapel, and was disappointed, alright. I wish I was old enough to have been around in their hay-day, poor Ian Anderson's voice just can't hit those high notes anymore. Still a great showman, though, full of energy.

  • Anderson's backing vocals on Mother Goose contiues to sends chills down my spine. However, the Tull we see today is, well, disappointing. I've attended over 50 Tull shows since the A Passion Play tour. I won't be attending another. It saddens me.

  • @puseye

i feel you...been to over a dozen shows.and the last 3 or so were so dissapointing..ian sounds like popeye singing..at the passion play tour as well and well...it will never get that better than that "its for you"

  • Flawless acoustic guitar, Anderson is amazing here.

  • top seat chair !

  • great guitar piece!

  • I'm 16 now and I'm from Brazil, but I can proudly say that I've been listening to Jethro Tull since I was 6 years old and I know what real music is. And I can also say that I love every single Jethro's songs. I feel sorry for those poor kids that listen to that crap "music" produced these days. And I can say only one thing to those kind of people: Shame on You!!

  • @black3172 hey cool to read your comment.I´m here since 1977 and i listen to the Aqualung album since i was 6.

it couldn´t be too bad when i read what you write.cheers from germany.gives me hope for the kids to get some intellect.´cause that´s what this band gives to you.and so much more.Peace.

  • these used to be my 2 favs of this album

  • @ReeferRevolution mine too, but the overall record is incredible, I still listen from begining to end

  • Class, pure class! One of my most treasured albums..never dates..love it!

  • greatest rock band in my opinion!

  • @BLastyboW

    Together with .Blue Oyster Cult...

  • @sydilligaf totally man.. BOC are a great band. Floyd is another great band too.
