Superfriends is great on its own, but it didn't fit well into the contemporary cartoons (with "attitude") that surrounded it. If my memory serves me correctly, the show didn't last too long in that time slot.
I think I was about 15 years old and had just embarked on what would be a life long passion for DBZ.

unforunately i never saw toonami being hosted by moltar...i was still on toondisney lol....but I did watch TOM...sorry but i watched enough youtube to see that TOM is way better

@nightmuffin937 Yeah, Moltar was the "host" of toonami from the beginning until sometime in 99 when he was replaced with the first iteration of tom.

That's what I liked about early Toonami, they told you when shows were going off the air. Now cartoon network doesn't have any kind of cool thing. Not even that stupid Fried Dynamite. I didn't like it but it was SOMETHING!

I started watching Toonami in 1996-1997, I remember hating Tom for seemingly wasting time with his intro when the show was already supposed to be on. LOL
