@longboardrock I dislike them because they hate on skateboarding when that's really what longboarding is too. Longboarding, shortboarding, trick skate boarding, it's all still a form of skateboarding. For Original to try to separate longboarding from the rest and to insult people that ride shortboards is just plain ignorant. We're all riding 4 wheels, 2 trucks, and 1 deck.
But I wasn't the one who brought this up, so discuss this with the other guy

@longboardrock They don't make a single street deck, the closest thing they have is a 27" mini. They're constantly talking about the "shortboard vs longboard wars" or whatever on their channel comments (at least when they don't just censor/block people who don't agree with them".

@longboardrock That's not what they meant. They were trying to say that original was making itself seem way better and more revolutionary than it actually is ie; sucking it's own dick. And in that regard, Venom is completely right.
The things Original did on the ramp towards the end were very nice, but it was no where near as "Progressive" as they made it out to be. Venom realized that and decided to poke a little fun at them. No harm done.

@longboardrock No, I've skated with at least 150-200. Venom bushings are the standard, and everyone I know either uses venom bushings or they don't know about bushings so they just use the normal stock ones.
Hundreds of people have made their own ramp. Making your own ramp, making a big ramp, etc., it's all been done for DECADES. It's not even close to new, or innovative.
And yes, Original has more Youtube views and more scene kids riding their boards. I agree with you.

And Original might have more Youtube views, but Venom is more popular among skateboarders. 95% of the people I skate with use Venom bushings, and a good deal of them also use their wheels, while almost everyone hates Original, except for the 12-16 year old scene kids.

@longboardrock I agree with you for the most part, there is douche-baggery on both sides for sure. I just feel like Original gets particularly lame sometimes with how much they think they're pushing the sport. That's what I meant by self-righteous. They come off as condescending, as if they don't think other companies are doing anything progressive, when in fact, the sport is seeing progression from several different fronts.

Props to Venom for recognizing lameness and exploiting it. This video was not a wasted investment, it will most likely expand their business and help to define their market. How long have people been jumping skateboards off of ramps? But still they act like they just invented the fucking wheel. Plus Original (and their fans) get so butt hurt it's hilarious. AND venom makes products I actually use and love, you don't see me riding around on Original bushings, oh wait, I mean Original springs.
