u can have two shallow 10" under the seat but youll have to raise your seat a bit

@MoToMaNiAcK74 They do go all the way under but you have to add spacers to your seats in the back to make it fit. I almost went with this setup before i custom built a box for a non shallow 12

did you have to drill a hole in the fire wall to install the amp wire? im trying to install mine but i dnt know were to pass the wire thru.

@runnerxc6 there is a hole with a rubber water proector in the firewall already. cut a whole in that and weave the wire down towards the pedals to get it through. Put some sealer on the rubber stopped on the firewall if you want to. It is just a black circle with a single wire coming out of it. you can pull the rubber stopper out and weave the wire through. hope this helped

What did you use to boost the back seats up? Because on my LS 2004, It barely fits, I screwed it down.

I made about an inch and a half spacer out of metal that i slipped around the bolt to raise it up a little. at first i made it out of wood you could probably do that if you needed to.

hey, i hav the same amp like urs, i think. mine is rockford fosgate prime r500-1, im pushing 2 12s kicker cvts on my single cab colorado as well :) sounds real clean.

yeah this is my old setup. it worked nicely for a while but that amp seems to get a little toasty so i invested in a hifonics 1610d (soon to be sundown sae 1200) and an fi audio q 12. but my old setup did sound very nice but my new sounds much nicer.

no it doesnt.. but i wouldnt reccomend this box this box made it tear up the subs because it would hit the spring under the seat.. i have a video of my new box ill get up here soon but its one twelve that sits inbetween the two back seats it works much better

My 12 hits about 4 times as hard... I had two 10"s running at 250 rms.. my one twelve runs at 1600 rms ( Fi Q w/ BP Power) so yeah if you get a good 12 like a DD, AA, RE, Fi audio its gonna hit harder than 2 10 inch shallow subs.. I used to just be able to barley bounce a penny off my roof.. now i can easily bounce full water bottles off and phones the flex is ridiculous for just one 12

I'm looking at getting a system for my colorado and its almost identical to yours..... would you reccomend your new box? or would your old box be good if you had like sub grilles so it didnt hit the springs in the seat?

honestly it depends... do you drive with your seat far back? cause if you do i would recommend this box because i have a single 12 inch box that goes in between the two rear back seats but therefore it limits the leg room in the front seats... but this box ur gonna have to raise the seat atleast an inch or if possible an inch and a half or two inches... then this setup will work nice because this box doesnt fit under the seat if you dont raise it

whats the depth of the box? because i have 2 alpine s type 10's that im going to install soon and the depth of them are 4.3 inches and i want to know if that will fit in that box and still preform

nooooo i was gonna do that but the type s's are too big the mouting depth is 4 1/2 in id go with rockfords or maybe the new mtx shallows even tho i hate mtx. just put a 12in Fi q in here ill post a vid here shortly

500 watts for 1 ohm but its a 2 ohm minimum so it runs a 250 rms

Thank you.. the box is custom built for this truck i bet you could google it and find one but it says they fit perfectly under the seat.. they dont i had to raise the seat about an inch and since the subs are shallow the excursion isnt rediculous so it doesnt hit the seat and dammage the subs
