  • Hey Rex, how the fuck do you hijack the totally separate issue of biofuels into your personal vendetta against Al Gore and think you're making any kind of sense? Are you trying the absurdity defense, by lopping off an idea your opponent actually opposes, opposing it yourself and then expecting it to be taken as some sort of non-ineffectual salvo against him? Who are you working for?

  • This man is sometimes hilarious sometimes despicable... There is no debate on climate change because it happens naturally, however the question is how much we contribute to that phenomena and at the end of the day we should play it safe and go with green technology.. ethanol is retarded.. The shotgun effect of high capacity batteries, geothermal energy and up to date mag lev technology for transport could solve nearly all of our CO2 and energy problems.

  • @jamspooge86 The technology is not developed enough yet and we can't afford all these subsidies to inefficient wind and solar companies.

  • I'm gay

  • Like the sponsership scandal wasnt enough.Or Martins tainted blood scandel. But Martins low down interests and dealings with criminals from mainline China that broke the camels back..Bringing Chinese organized crime into canada might of forced the mounties hand.

  • Apparently Rex hasn't heard of energy security, also farm subsidies have been around before ethanol targets were set. And finally oil price spikes are the chief proponent of food crises not growing corn in iowa or sugar cane outside of sao paolo. But Rex is bang on about clearing new land to grow biofuel crops, what a dumb idea.

  • LOL, Saint Al.

    Another Classic Rex!

  • i support environmentalists but i HATE ethonol

  • He may not be saying much that has not been already said but, he is saying it on The CBC National in the mainstream media in Canada. That is definitely new !

  • While much of what he says is true...he doesn't really add anything tangible to what has already been said.

  • Right on Rex !

Watch for a lot more programs in the media like this. The lies about climate change will be exposed. In the end Gore's army of fanatical environmentalists won't have a chance against the truth and the mass of fact finding media waiting to expose it.

  • Hey dailycoast, I'll agree with you if you can do one thing for me.

Find a single scientific institution which says that manmade factors aren't a primary cause of the warming we've experienced in the past few decades.

Frankly, I don't think you can.

  • There are many scientists who work for many reputable institutions who discount that the primary cause of global warming is man made. Some of these scientist were actually lead authors of IPCC reports who had to threaten legal action to have their names removed from the Man made reports. Read 'The Deniers' By Lawrence Solomon, a environmental journalist, for some tremendous arguments against the man made global warming theory by some very well respected and highly educated scientists.

  • Well I'm sure anyone can make compelling arguments if they don't have to stick to peer reviewed science, much less facts.

    Like this one for instance:

    greyfalcon. net/ swindle3

BTW, you're thinking about John Christy, (Guy who screwed up the tropospheric climate record by getting it completely backwards due to incompetence or worse)

    greyfalcon. net/ christy

And Paul "I am not a climate scientist" Reiter.

    Right?

  • Also, notice I didn't ask for individual scientists.

    I asked for scientific institutions.

If those arguments were so compelling, don't you think you'd be able to find even 1.

(Note: To give you an idea of the difficultly of this proposal, you aren't even going to get the American Association of Petroleum Geologists to agree with you.)

  • I don't think any institution would dare make a public statement not yet yet. Its just not cool to do so. Why on earth would lead authors threaten legal action to have their names removed from the IPCC report ? What scientist would not want to be part of such a prestigious report? Who would risk getting the cold shoulder at all the really, really cool climate change parties. What would motivate him to become an outcast , a heretic ? a holocaust denier (holy Al's words)

    Ethics perhaps ?

  • You do realize Paul Reiter studies bugs, right?
