I have this same model some years now!

It still works! From 1984 I believe...

They eventually have motor failure, but excellent service until then.

It had battery box to provide power...9 volts, not 3 like late model mid 1990's Sony CD players.

SONY IS NO LONGER WHAT IT USE TO BE SADLY. anyway sony is the king in audio quality, not one apple product can compete with the audio fidelity of sony, any mp3 player from sony sounds much better than the msot advance ipod.
