Looks like a big effort and probably cost a bit to make what with music etc. I am curious what you did with the film when it was done - is it out there being shown or on DVD ?
We plan to show at a few more festivals. We hope to have it available soon to the public on DVD and online. Please keep checking back for more updates. Thanks
Steve, it was really nice meeting you and your wife in North Carolina. Seeing your production alone was worth the price of admission. Your film was excellent and I can't wait to see it when it makes the theaters.
I really enjoyed watching this trailer and look forward to seeing the film. The dancing, painting, and music integrate so well. The dancers are so intense even when they appear calm.
Wow! Long time no hear. Yes, I could not live without post-it notes. They run my life basically. No, I've not been to the big city in a long time. I miss going there, kind of. I do hope to get this film in a festival there though. If so, let's meet up there. We'll soon start a news page of the website so you can know the festivals we (hopefully) get in.
I'm so thrilled you like it. Actually shot from a painter's eye, since I'm the painter. I've been painting dancers for 27 yrs and have been wanting to do this film for a long time. I shot this on a Panasonic DVX 100. My other cameraman had the same camera. I decided that if I was going to spend a year making this film I wanted to shoot it from perspectives I've not yet seen in a dance film. I just checked out your work too, very nice dance footage and music. Thanks again, Steve Childs
The title of this song is Calling and it is by the band Pearl Merchant. The guy that started the band is a good friend of mine. His name is Michael Ramsey. He has some powerful songs. Thanks for asking.
I really want to see this film!

The dancers are incredible. It was fun mixing the different art forms together. My editors get all the credit for that. Thanks.

I see this and my first response is "I wish I'd made that!"
Superb. Well shot, and I love the visual point of view/angles that you have taken in many of the shots. Photographer's eye perhaps?
I love the notion of incorporating the artist as well. Be interesting to see how that works in the full feature.
You've set the bar very high. Well done.

P.S. What did you shot it on?
