Adobe Photoshop tutorial - layers and blending options

Thanks a lot for this...I didn't know it's this simple to make and handle layers....

in older versions than CS there are two features which i can't find them in CS. 1) In layer panel, next to each layer, there is an eye for hiding, next to that there was an additional box with the picture of brush in it, that you could change it to a "chain", so you could join some layers to gather, for working with stamp and many other things.

2) if you would keep Ctrl and click on a layer(or maybe right click! i don't remember) you could have the shapes inside the layer selected(useful for when the picture is smaller that the hole page or is cut from another picture and has an special shape) Do you have any idea about how can i do those in CS4 ? so much thanks in advance :)

I wouldn't quite call this a tutorial. You didn't really explain what you were doing very well...you are assuming that someone watching this is already experienced with photoshop. Your work is nice - but you didn't talk enough - you just kinda worked on the screen, and you moved around WAY TOO FAST!!

im trying to add different colored brush layers to a photo but for some reason whenever im trying to add a brush layer, the color won't show up on the photo and it is on RBG color. i used to be able to do this easily but it's been a long time since i've used photoshop so im very rusty. i have photoshop CS3 extended. PLEASE HELP!!!

If you dont have the leaves, just use any other brush or download some brush presets from the net.

Open up Photoshop, go to image in the top left corner -> the hit color mode(or mode) -> and change do RGB mode. You should have all colors enabled now
