I have to say it, no matter how much it has already been said. But Lelouch looked/sounded so much like Light towards the end. Even their powers are similar, they have advantages and disadvantages which make up most of the tension in the story. Plus, they are both prodigal geniuses.

1) Is it just me, or is Lancelot just a WEE bit too similar to an Evangelion for coinkidink?? 2) I think the ending of this episode foreshadows the beginning of the end for our "hero": his pride and hubris (GOTTA love that word, lol!!) are beginning to show more and more. How much longer before he starts to think of himself as some sort of god or savior??

@Gabe1940 Ah true I guess. I'd say he became truly power hungry at series 2, the rest he just viewed as necessary sacrifices, whereas in series 2 he started thinking he could kill pretty much anyone. Kinda sad that they had to make him worse in order to catch him I suppose.

@1rebelboy Yeah, He stopped having human emotions (Not really sure if he had them in the first place.) and anyone was killed off or used for a tool till they were no longer needed. I was really upset when he basically just used his dad fro his own gain then just watched him die.. it was sad, and I kinda started voting more for "L" and "N" at that point. I haven't finished it yet, but from what I hear it ended the way it should have.

@Gabe1940 I think they shouldn't have skipped/sped up those parts of the manga in which he basically threw up and flipped out at himself killing people. They had a short similar flashback but I don't know if it worked as well. I'm not sure about his dad, do we find out if Light's sadness for him was just an act, or was he sad but Mello came first? =/

@1rebelboy I think that Light show'd faked emotions till his dad actually died then he smiled as he cried to the rest of he world.. Because Lights dad thought he was "Kira," but light told him of course he wasn't, but still Light is shity.

@Meteorained Oh I agree, if you think about it the movie "Boon Dock Saints," does the same thing going around punishing people who have done wrong. Same thing with Dexter but with guide line to follow. But where dexter and saints differ from Light is that light did not mind using the people he was suppose to care for or people that cared for him as tools. Light did it all the time.

@Gabe1940 Light is one of my favorites. Their world was so much better with him there.

Sure he may have accidentally killed innocent people who were in prison, but then again, a simple war between to large countries would have killed far more. With Light, there was no more war, and crime went down like 70%. I feel like L should have let him just do his thing. If you aren't evil, then you really shouldn't have anything to worry about. Light cared for some people, but he knew what had to be done.

@Meteorained Yeah, that's true. But it got to the point where he just wanted to out smart L and N it didn't matter about 'Justice' anymore. It didn't matter who got killed as long as Light got his way and manipulated people the way he wanted to use them.

The only reason Light became corrupt, was because of L, M, and N. It was their fault. He wouldn't of had to manipulate anyone if they didn't try to stop him.

@Meteorained Light was Not justice (he killed a lot of incarcerated criminals, wtf is the point of that? just to gain power by fear) and either way, he was self-justified and he considered himself flawless. I did not see any compassion for humanity from Light whatsoever. As Light goes on the more bloodthirsty he gets and he LETS himself get caught up in games with L, M, N. Getting engaged like that is up to him! He should have STUCK to justice for the sake of justice, not become competitive.

@MayzeSigSzalay It is justice to kill scum like that. Even if they are in jail. Sorry but that's a personal thing. While I agree his motives did become skewed, I still think that he was doing the right thing. Just think, had he have won, the perfect world would have been created. Light killed far less people than say the Vietnam war. That war wouldn't have prevented more deaths. Just a continuous struggle for power. With Kira, no one would fight for power. A utopia would have been created.

I know the justice system is flawed but forcible death? What made Light so special? I don't see how he would get rid of war he saw himself as god & wars have been started for god. A human who has no feeling has no right to judge other humans. There is no Utopia when it is achieved thru oppression.

@MayzeSigSzalay I never said that people who have done petty things should die. Mentals shouldn't either. We humans still judge each other no matter what. Either way, a lot of those people are either going to die or rot in prison. They would all die eventually. Light gives them death early. He becomes a wake up call to all evil. With a single unknown power, no one will try to fight for power. You saw how Light would kill those who tried to use him as a weapon. He served no one.

@Meteorained And...almost all species in the animal kingdom have cyclical struggle for power. Humans are just more organized and conniving about it. To stamp out power struggle is to stamp out ambition, and therefore stop progress and competition. I'm not pro survival of the fittest but it is true that competition is motivation, and leads to change...Power is corruptible and evil in some ways but it is just a flaw in human nature and a human stamping that out by force is just as immoral.
