  • i spent 575 in a AMD Phenom ii x4 960T 3.0 GHZ, Gigabyte 970A-ud3 AMD 3+, 8GB kingston hyperx 1600 MHZ DDR3, 500 GB Seagate BArracuda 7200 RPM Sata 3 6gb/s, OCZ stream 600 Watt, Saphire AMD Radeon HD 6850, Antec Three Hundred Mid case.

  • @xander2290 wow. you have no idea how much that is like mine. the processor, the ram, and the case are all pretty much the same.

  • Paul is the fucking man.

  • this video is 9:11 conspiricy?

  • I spent $350 on my PC... 3.2ghz Phenom II CPU, 550w psu, mid-tower case, nice asus motherboard, etc. Runs like a champ

  • @TraxxasBrothers

Wow, nice. I'd love to know more about that.

  • Put prices and speed tests. We wanna see characteristics

  • 2012 please

  • paul your funny! tahahaha

  • hey i was wondering would a 12 inch by 9.6 inch motherboard fit in this case

  • @ipwnufacefuly Your stupid

  • god damn perwhiferwals.

  • where is the psu sucking air out? i have this case and it doesnt have a vent on the bottom, and paul covered the fan!

  • Paul do an updated Price and Performace PC for 2011. Por favor

  • @moreese123 this was made a little over a year ago no need for an update

  • @moreese123 Por favor? Boa hsauhsaus

  • @moreese123 I made an updated list: CPU - AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Motherboard - MSI 890GXM-G65 Memory - Patriot Gamer 2 Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) Case - ENERMAX FULMO Basic Power Supply - Corsair CX600 Optical Drive - Lite-on DVD Burner Hard Drive - Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB Operating System - Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SATA Cable GAMING/MULTIMEDIA UPGRADES: Optical Drive - Lite-on Blu-Ray Reader VGA - HIS Radeon HD 6790 Total: US$736,00 with Video Card and without Blu-Ray Reader
  • @IceShot42 GREAT list! I am actually using ALL your listed parts in my custom PC! I have a 700$ budget and it all adds up to 650 for me. Are you using those products in your pc?

  • @ciberbuz Actually not, because i live in Brazil and this PC would cost 1800 dollars here :-( But it should run every single game

  • @IceShot42 Actually, when you are to build, and want to save money, think that you basically need the CPU, the mobo, the memory and the CPU cooler. You can find the rest by a friend of your's who upgrades, or use your old PC's stuff (case, fans, dvd, cables, PSU, and hard drive). Then the cost is reduced significally. You use the internal vga, and when you get some money, you add a graphics card. This is the way I usually upgrade my PC. Take care to find about a 400 W PSU :)

  • @hrbear When I built my PC I used the HD, the CD/DVD drive, some cables from my older PC and after some time i got money and bought my video card :D

  • @ciberbuz Also, I am glad I helped xD

  • @moreese123 2012 please :D

  • @Buttfuckbysquirl 2013? im a time traveler

  • @moreese123 You asked him to do a 2011 build guide in December of 2011; the last month of the year 2011. Just pointing that out.

  • I love all of Paul's shirts.

  • What's better mini ITX or full size ATA?

  • hey... was just wondering, would this all work together?

    1) AMD Phenom II x6 1090T

    2) MSI 785 GM - E51

    3) nVidia GTX 550 Ti

    thanks

  • @ChRIs23696 I don't know, but if your getting the gtx 550 Ti,get the SLI with it and dual cards IF you are a gamer,(2x 550 Ti =GTX 590,500$ save) but just get 1x SLI or normal is fine if you are not.

  • @ChRIs23696 Drop the 1090 for a x4 955. The perforamnce difference is minimal and not worth the extra money. With the money saved, you could get something like a 6850/6870, which would perform better.

Also, make sure to have a good, reliable PSU. Personally I think that's one of the most important parts of the build. (Enough wattage, 80+ certified)

  • Ok so with this exact build what would it run. Like im sure it could handle minecraft on high settings but what about say BF3 how well would this pc run it. My guess is not well at all but i know nothing. My budget is also a bit higher so i can upgrade the cpu and the graphic card a bit

  • @mongekyousharingan45 - Forget about BF3 with a build like this. If you turned the eye candy all the way down and played at a very low resolution you "could" play BF3 but, it would not be enjoyable at those settings. It would handle most games though excluding games like BF3, Crysis, Crysis 2, MW3 and other graphics intensive games.

  • Do a new Price and Performance PC build for 2011!!!!

  • What mouse is that?

  • Actual value PC:

    AMD Phenom X4 840 3.2ghz

    ASRock 890gx pro3 mobo

    Western Digital Caviar BLACK 500g 7200rpm sata 6Gigs p/s

    DDR3 2 x 2g 1600 ram

    cooler master 400w psu

Lite On 24x oem dvd drive

Thermaltake V3 black edition mid tower

    Total: $366

    (gpu is on mobo)

  • Thanks Paul.

  • your job rocks!

  • if you wanna make a budget computer get linux i think its like a dollar lol

  • @MrIpodtouchey

not a dollar its free :D

  • got a quad 4gig card build vid yet?

  • DO NOT GET THE ANTEC 200

  • Comment removed

  • @nuthenry2 WHY?

  • Take it from a Geek :)

  • he builded the pc very fast. ;)

  • 2:46 always a 2nd oppinion ? lol im planning my own pc build and i already changed my mind 23 times

  • @tibothenr Ive had the same problem, but for me its just wat case to use, I mean the nice ones are crap, and the good ones are ugly and everything else is too expensive :/

  • @Fsxace999 haha XD im having trouble finding a nice but cheap case too , and finding a good mobo as well

but i think i finally found a nice but cheap case the sharkoon t9 its got led fans and a window in the sidepanel

you should check it out maybe you think its nice too

  • @tibothenr That case actually is like wat i was looking at, but all the "registered dealers" on the website only sell the brands headsets and not the case :/

  • @Fsxace999 yes its because sharkoon is made in germany :( i live in belgium so i dont have that problem sorry for you bud :(

  • @tibothenr Oh well thats probly why, but yeah you said u need a good mobo? I have this im looking at for a setup im planning to get. Not sure if it will work with your setup but this one is wat im gonna use w w w dot ncix dot com/products/?sku=59095&vpn=P67A-G43%20%28B3%29&manufacture=MSI%2FMicroStar

  • @Fsxace999 i cheked it out i looks like a good motherboard but its an intel board :( and i am going to do my build with a amd phenom ll x4 955 black edition :o and in my computer store the asus crosshair iv formula dropped its price to 120 $ so i think im gonna go with that and the sapphire amd hd 6850 :o anyways thanks for the tip :)

  • CPU=102 dollars Motherboard=123 dollars Memory-RAM=30 dollars Hard Drive=around 160 dollars SATA Cable=3 dollars Power Supply=65 dollars Case=82 dollars Graphics Card=120 dollars DVDRW=20 dollars The blu ray player is optional(i'm not using that) That's 702 dollars
  • Ran down the numbers.

I had to change a few things like using an OEM Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit instead of a whole new full version and I changed the CPU to AMD Phenom II Quad-Core.

It all costs less than $600.

  • I want ur job

  • TOTAL PRICE = 632.98$

  • @sansanhtun yeah... not affordable im afraid

  • Doesn't an Antec three hundred cost about the same as a Cooler Master HAF 912? I have that and it's a MUCH better case for the price since you can pretty much fit ANY card in there (you can remove one of the HDD cages) and it has amazing cable management, I can see this antec has zero of that...

  • Damn, so it's only about $600 huh? hehe, in my country that build would be like $800 after taxes and stuff though still considered "cheap" because most gamers such as myself pay $1000 and up usually...

  • Turn on Transcribe audio in captions 5:20... ahhh good I need a powerful sheep... wait what?

Oh how I love the english dub

  • @MrKmose lol if u thought tht was funny got the the music-over part it pts lyrices to it

  • good computer ¡¡

  • can this mobo the MSI 890GXM-G65 take nvidia cards?

  • @IgotGreens101 Yes.

  • AMD is MindF**k! i have had over 6 AMD processers, all high quality and fast, one being 2.5 GHz and in two weeks without even 2GB of dowloads it slowed down to 1.2GHz and i asked AMD Support why that was and thay said that was normal.

  • @InfinfiteTech Its called Cool'n'Quiet.

  • This is around $500 - $600 just to let everyone know.

  • @Wingard14 this video was made a year ago, back then they did not have the 955.

  • @JMxSantiago That's ridiculous, this is an Athlon II cpu which came AFTER the Phenom II's which came out in 2009 (including the 955 which I own).

  • You are amazing at cable management! Its like the mona lisa

  • Ur computer might have fans but blowing hot air over the parts wont help much :P

  • you keep saying 12 and 14 CM fans! They are 120 CM and 140 CM fans!

  • @4628JP 12cm = 120mm 14cm =140mm a 120 cm fan makes no sense

  • @stanthecanadianman Are you kidding? 120 cm fans fit in my rig just fine. Doesn't everyone have a case the size of a sofa?

  • @jermizzey LOL 120cm fans :P

  • @4628JP dumbass

  • Think you need a cooler :)

  • It's fun to watch these vids even though I won't be building a PC for another couple years.

  • why do you use AMD so much??

  • @Foreverneverlasts13 ever thought they might be sponsored by them? that's my guess.

  • @Foreverneverlasts13 If you read the title, you would realize it's for price per performance builds. And AMD offers just that, if not more compared to an Intel build.

  • @Foreverneverlasts13

because they are cheaper then intel.

  • I could watch Newegg TV for hours

  • I have that Antec case. :)

  • yesterday I build my first pc everything was going well but when I was trying to start my pc by pressing the power button nothing happened I was really like fuck! but then I pressed the reset button and everything worked fine,I don't know which wire it is plz help me! anyone!? >O<

  • @0900090990 play around with the power reset\reset plugs or look at your motherboard manual to see what goes where. and sometimes the motherboard is labeled but it is very small writing.

  • @brandonio91 Yeah I found out I just didn't connect one cable but that probably was because I didn't had that one with my old case -_- so I connected the cable and everything worked just fine ^_^

  • graphic cards always look so sexy lol

  • Cool, almost same setup as mine, only i have an athlon II x4 620 and an different motherboard..

  • Hi, I have that motherboard but when I updated to the latest Bios it doesn't do anything, can you help me? thanks.

  • The ATI Raedeon looks beautiful, like a black sports car or something. :)

  • How much money did this cost? With the bluray and video card.

  • He has sexy lips! sorry...couldn't hold that comment back...lol

  • Antec has the worst looking cases on the market.

  • That was actual speed.

  • i have that HDD XD £38

  • I am gonna get a similar System!

  • you read the manual omg :)

  • @nicktheodorou9 I've been building systems for 20 years. ALWAYS read the manual. LOL

  • just some question .. any1 can help me ?

doesnt matter what CPU i used AMD or INTEL , i can go with the nvidia or radeon graphics card right ? or the AMD just go with radeon graphics card ? Or the intel just go with nvidia ? Im confused on that , any CPU can go with any graphics card right ?(sorry my bad english)

  • @justeex97 u can combine whatever u want

  • @justeex97 Yeah, any CPU can go with any graphics cards, the only thing that's different it's for Crossfire (putting two graphics cards together to have more power) for AMD cards which only work on motherboards that are compatible with it (otherwise the cards work separately and it's pointless to have 2) or SLI for Nvidia which only works on SLI certified motherboards.

  • You forgot the thermal paste.

  • @ktmclub22

Thermal Paste come pre-applied on the cooler, idiot.

  • @MrUberDeDuber Not all cpu's come with pre-applied thermal paste like OEM's also "thermal paste" is not a proper noun no need for it to be capitalized, idiot

  • @ktmclub22 Yeah he did, but retail cpus always come with a default thermal pad on the heatsink, which works ok for a basic build.

  • do i have to buy the Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 to play blu-ray movies bc i wanna have an hdmi cable? send me a message if u know thanks

  • although you may upgrade WAY before the CPU is likely to fail if your selling your computer to partly fund your new computer you want to keep everything as cool as possible although nowadays under load CPU's only usually reach 40C - 60C but if you get a dust build up then...

  • personally i would have went for a fan that you can point to the exhaust which increases top speed and decreases fan load on the CPU fan if you set the RPM to respond to heat also it means your getting the heat right out of the case which is the biggest plus, because if your taking the same heat in again then your obviously not going to be as efficient.

the reason why i'm so pissy about keeping the CPU cool is not for the most obvious reason, over clocking but more to do with CPU lifespan.

  • uhhh you forgot the ram... Random Access Memory..

  • @brandog48

    3:52

    Dumbass

  • Paul, I noticed you mounted the PSU upside down, is that safe? I thought about getting either this case or the Antec 300 along with this same PSU, but I wanted to mount it upside down.

  • Name of the song anyone?

  • I have that CPU, love it

  • you can get away with a 400W power supply and a 5770

  • HD5770 with 550W power supply? =\

Suppose you'll get away with that because the CPU isn't that power hungry... still would have gone for a 700W one, especially seeing as you're not after a modular one so the price difference won't be very much at all...

  • @Missionimpossibles That would be severe overkill, a 5770 at it's max power draw won't use more than 250ish watts.

  • Pocketbook? what am i your bitch?

  • This is good stuff for old farts like myself on 1st build - good job Paul just wish I could move as fast as you lol!!

  • notice how this video ends in 9:11.

  • Is it easy to build the computer cuz it does look easy?

  • @marcujerk901 yeah, actually it is pretty easy.

  • @marcujerk901

I'd recommend having a person familiar with Computer building with you for you're first build, as it's very easy to mess up.

  • @marcujerk901 It is quite easy, since almost everything plugs into a dedicated port, so you have to be trying hard to get anything wrong

  • @marcujerk901 i built one 4 days ago first time went together easily

  • @marcujerk901 Very easy.

  • @marcujerk901 its a adult puzzle peice

  • @marcujerk901 yessir, just fallow directions.

  • @marcujerk901 assembling a PC may be a little frustrating the first or second time, but it isn't too bad. the important part is knowing what parts are needed to make the best computer possible in your price range.

  • @marcujerk901 its extremely easy if you have a brain, just watch video tutorials to be aafe if you want, check out linus pc build guide

  • @marcujerk901 yes very easy if you're handy. im 14 years old and have buildt and rebuilded 5 computers.

  • @marcujerk901 It's very easy, but you DO have to be careful because it's also very easy to "fuck up".

  • @marcujerk901 depending on your experience with computers. for first time builders, it can take up to 5 hours, familiar builders take as little as an hour...

  • @marcujerk901 yes

  • @marcujerk901 It is not overly complicated but after you do it once or twice it is easy :)

  • an amd pc like this is even cheaper now! and offers great performance and a great budget gaming pc....i built one similar to this (same mobo $50 g.skill $55 1TB hdd antec 600 and a 1055t) and it only came up to about $500...now add a graphics card and your good to go for under 800 bucks

  • his name is Paul ... he is cursed.

  • About how much was the total cost of this build?

  • @mrsubscribe11 I'd say around $600-800 depending on numerous factors like which store you buy it from and where you live.

  • @mrsubscribe11 If I had to guess I'd say around 800 maybe nearly 900 with that blu-ray reader, if you get a lower grade motherboard like 870 chipset you could do a similar build for close to 600. Hooray for 1month old replies.

  • @mrsubscribe11 around 600 for just the parts

  • @mrsubscribe11 It's a lot cheaper now, but there are now better parts for the same price or lower

  • @mrsubscribe11 about 500$ now.

  • @mrsubscribe11

The price is around $600. For the performance? Defiantly worth it.

  • @mrsubscribe11 Right now you can't buy a few of these parts, but due to the age of this video, it's about $500 without the upgrade kit. With the upgrade kit it's about $700. However, I'd recommend that you build a more modern system with the newer chipsets, archtectures, and video cards.

  • @teddy405139 dont think soo try aria.co.uk

  • hey im obviously new to this stuff but how much money can i save on builing a pc compared to buying one thats already built... the pc just needs to run say cod 4 and say like runescape or wow. how much maney can i save and how much money would it cost for me to build a pc or buy a already built one...thanks a lot for the help!! also how much did a computer like the one he just built cost cause like i said earlier im way new to this

  • I purchase most all my PC parts from NewEgg. I've gutted two older out-dated computers and replaced their innerds with all new parts from NewEgg - and I intend to get the case shown in your video and transfer my Windows 7 system I built to it AFTER I mod the case to a Nuked Look. I love the Rendition memory (made by Crucial) N.E. sells, for use in my Computer Budget Builds. NewEgg.com is my #1 choice for components. AND their Customer service has always been a pleasant experience.

  • How much would a build like this cost?

  • I want his job >:I

  • pcs suck macs r better

  • @BrianTheBoss16 if you like paying for overpriced junk

  • wish i could do this type of stuff. this guy must make bank doing this stuff

  • forgot to mention that i would also use that video card Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 any help would really be apreciated

  • I am wanting to build this pc but instead of the quad core im ganna use his AMD phenom ii x6 1055t Thuban 2.8ghz 125w six core that he shows in the follow up video would this pc run any FPS game without any problems? also I raid on wow and wondering if this will run 25 man on ultra without any issues please help im a noob with it comes to pc's but am willing to spend the 800 on all the peices to make this pc also i will use windows 7 home premium 64-bit. Also Antec earthwatts ea750 750W 4 psu

  • @metalmassacrebk you don't need a 750 watt psu with that kind of hardware, a 550w unit will work more than fine already. The 1055 x6 is a powerful cpu, though most modern games prefer cpu with high clocks (as the Phenom 955 - which also costs less). Anyway the 5770 is fine for mid-HD resolution as a 1680x1050, a Radeon 6950 or an Nvidia 560 would cope even for 1920x1080 on demanding games.

  • how much did the system cost you with and without the bonuses you talked about?

  • thats what happens when u give a nerd steroids

  • good video i am looking into building my own rig or upgrading my current probably will build thats part of the fun of being a gamer i hear.

  • With the motherboard is what channel is the ram?

  • would this build work?

    cpu intel i5 2500k

    motherboard-GA-P67A-UD3 LGA 1155 P67 ATX Intel Motherboard

    graphics card-SAPPHIRE 100283-3L Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

  • would this build work

    cpu - intel i5 processor

    motherboard - asus P7P55D

    graphics card - Sapphire HD5570 DDR3

    powersupply - OCZ ModXStream Pro

    hdd - Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB

    RAM - Corsair 1600mhz 4GB (2x2gb) DDR3

Thanks and what games cud i play on high settings

  • I have a quick question about the CPU that you used in this video. I looked up that specific CPU and it gives me the several options of the same kind. They all look the same but there are a bunch of different codes that they have even though they are all 4GB and are Crucial DDR3. I found these on buy.com. If possible, could you let me know which one specifically I should buy?

  • "but unfortunately, the motherboard try is not removable" XD

  • Nice Curse shirt! i love using curse

  • No static wristband paul be careful! :)

  • will this build work with xion xon tower ??

  • You dont need the screws on the other side!

  • hey paul got same build but had previously used hdd and loaded win 7 on to another custom pc im giving to my cousin can i use that hdd with new set up or should i wipe hdd clear and do a fresh restart

  • @newegg i want to do a lan build but i have a question about the motherboard will a 1090t run on it?

  • what would be the cost of this?

  • Is the 5770 Radeon good enough to run Starcraft II on Ultra smoothly?

  • Hey paul, I'm in urgent need of help.

    I have a Gateway DX4830-05c

    I don't like the case it's in.
