@bellahorse151 just curious; I'm 23. Is that too old to start competing? I've been stuck in the city all my life and have yet to get my dream horse. I would love to know what it feels like to do cross country riding. No fences, no suffocating crowd, just me and the horse. I know its probably not as simple as that but its a dream of mine and I fear that I may have passed the age to start training. Please answer, I'm dying to know.

@inandish No it's not too late :) I've only jump in a couple of shows and i already feel the pressure because my trainer has great expectations from me. I would start with lessons, finding good stable to get them from, then a couple private lessons, then leasing a horse (lease first, and then buy, that's what i plan on doing, and it let's you know what taking care of one is like) Getting a trainer is quicker :) And then of course starting in some shows :D :) It just takes time & commitment :)

@lovemwahnot as long as they spin in the opposite direction shortly, say they spin to the right then the reverse it to the left. It evens out the flow of fluids in your brain to prevent you from getting too dizzy. Its a trick my belly teacher taught me for when we do twirls or spins; very useful.

I guess it has to do with how reputable the teacher is . . . I have to pay 200 every lesson with my teacher and all expenses for competitions (airfare, hotel . . .). A competitive sport or art is really expensive!!

Considering when you're Junior you can't skate to music with lyrics. :P Actually starting at Limited Beginner you can't skate to music with words. However if you do Test Track you can skate to music with words. And just because you say "No Offense" doesn't mean someone won't take offense. :/

Firstly, I'm just going to say that I am not a professional coach, so if you plan to take the sport extremely seriously, ignore this.

Anyways, all I can say right now is that you should just keep on practicing them. At home, you can do some excersises, eg. practice lifting your leg to the side until you feel unbalanced, and bring it back down. Perhaps you just need a bit more muscle in those legs. Go back onto the ice, and keep practicing them. You'll get it eventually. Goodluck.
