how did anyone get above 10 seconds, its at least around 8~9 seconds

Hi there, I also own Mazda 6 2.5L Sport model and it does 0-100 test in 8.9 seconds. In official catalog there is info it should do 0-100 test in 8.4 seconds. What do you mean by "probably the engine has broke in" ? What did you do you to get this 8.5 seconds ? Thanks

Hopefully not. But so far the 3.7 V6 in my mazda is actually better on gas than I expected.

I own 2.5 MT model, it does it in 8.2 seconds 0-62mph ( 0-100 km/h ) european model.

@cipigmcx : yup...very much possible with proper shifts...and i guess even 8 is possible since I've seen a video posted by some russian dude hitting 100 kph in 7.9 seconds!

Yup, the altima 2.5 is faster than my car; however the base mazda 6 will be on par wid ur Altima..n tatz tested..the 18" stock alloys alongwid othr optional fittings, is degrading the overall performance...

ha you idiot, did you just pause the video on 100kph and look at the time?? 0-60 times usually wait untill the car starts moving before they time. so this was about 8.5 secs.

jus tryin 2 find out the right shift point...in automatic, it pointlessly stretches out till 6500 rpm...moreover, i've noticed slight delays in actual gear shifts (the display shows the next gear the very moment u hit the gearstick) while in manual mode; so gotta time it right while shifting..letz c :)

the initial tud tud tud sound is the wheelspin...the road surface was a little rough, giving way for a rougher wheelspin :)
