@Jezzo1958 I went the Sporters first at 12 or 13. I think they thought I was an androgynous lesbian type. The 12 soon followed. I got carded now and then... but not very often!
I was lucky enough to be invited to the Premiere which was held at Machine. Wish they could of had it at the 1270 space which is now The Baseball Tavern. When I go in there all the memories of the 1270 flood back that I hardly evan realized that it's gone. It's great that this was committed to film. Still hoping for Part 2. There are still a lot of us out there who are scattered about and were able to participate.
I wouldn't rule it out, though it took 3 years just to collect the people I did. I took out ads in papers, searched the internet... you name it. many people didn't respond to me until after they had seen the film at Machine, or as you said, they were scattered all over the place and couldn't get to me in time. I am at least glad on youtube, some people are slowly finding it. These days I simply don't have the money to add more to this film now. I am so glad I did it when i could!
I started going there in the summer 0f 1975,,,, at age 16. Never got carded once.

This video is amazing. True, accurate and really captures what the 1270 was about. I truly miss that era, and working there for 7 years
