McGeogh was an unusual, thrilling guitarrist for those of us who were 'open' to adventurous musicians, to surprises... to GOOD TASTE!
I went to school in the UK and now live in Argentina and have my own band.... McGeogh still lingers on as a true GREAT. Really refined, but also ballsy!
Really enjoyed listening to this. thanks. Now I really understand the technical side to the John McGeogh Sound. All makes sense. So sad he is gone RIP. John
Fantastic documentary on a great guitarplayer. He made THE sound of my fave time in music and life. Still new angles appeared in this great doc for me as a fan. In itself a piece of art as putting the pieces together and apart again. The only comments I miss is that of John Lydon. Former great PIL was the band he played longest in of all. I didn't follow the band in the 90's anymore, as I couldn't that with such great musicians they couldn't perform like they should. All in all a fab doc.
What a class act. He seems to have been well liked,as well as an amazing guitarist. All his work had this sort of sheen to it.Siouxsie and Steve Severin have soothing voices.
Thank you so much for the doc, what a talent, what a loss, Frame summed it up well and rescuing Siouxie, that's class. We fade to grey, but it's a cowboy song...
When I look at my record collection, I have all of John's bands in it (even Armory Show!) with Siouxsie & The Banshees being my favorite. So like Johnny Marr, I feel he is one of the greatest guitarists ever. And "spellbound" is a masterpiece. I really loved Siouxsie's bar story too. Really shows what a great standup guy he was in life too. RIP, John...
I first heard about his death reading "The Times" obituary section whilst on a train would you believe. A difficult place to control one's emotions I remember. And not just a couple of paragraphs, but a full article with a picture.

Its the old saying. 'The brightest candles seem just not to last as long.' Real real shame. His music lives for ever though!
