I Ryan actually got worried when Colin didn't get up before Ryan started, because he started off fine, but he ended up faltering, I think he asked Steve if he was okay after his hoedown. I mean, Ryan always came off strong on the hoedown. He may of played it for a joke, but I don't know.

@CountryMusicFanForev Hmm...you might have a point there. Actually, everyone laughs initially including Ryan, but then Steve starts to look worried, says something that I think might have been 'I don't think he's faking' and moves over to Colin. I think Steve's comment might have worried Ryan a bit. I imagine he was looking back and forth until Steve finished checking Colin's pulse and stood back up. Who knows?

@CheshireC6t I mean, Colin is Ryan's best friend, and Ryan kept glancing at Colin right before he started, even tried to smile reassuringly, but after he started he didn't glance back. I think Colin may of moved, or said something the cameras didn't show or pick up, or Steve said something, but like most friends, even if you know they are okay, you still worry about them, and that's why Ryan faulted. He might of bent down after the hoedown to say something to Colin, I don't know, through.

Steve and Ryan were both feigning concern to keep Colin's joke going.

I think most of us can agree that Ryan didn't hate doing the hoedowns...

He signed a contract and moved to London for about five years. It wasn't until the American version began- where he had to finish every single one- that he grew to dislike them.

He probably got burned out having to come up with the closing verse every time.
