  • RON PAUL 2012.

Otherwise, this is what we will be seeing all across America in 5 years.

  • I see comments about OWS, I see comments about the Tea Party, but why is no one concerned with the growing presence of suppressing speech? The Comedian is the personification of of government corruption and control, so what happened to the "American Dream"? He's right, 'you're looking at it,' and he personifies best.

  • Hahahahahahaha totally pissed myself when he hit that girl XD

  • damn hippies

  • the song only reminds me of mclovin trying to get that hot bitch

  • Punched that Bitch right back to the kitchen!

  • You were right, Dad.

    You were right.

  • Wha? Part of the scene was cut out! Comedian's like "CRAWL BACK IN YER HOLES BEFORE YOU GET HURT! I GOT TEAR GAS, I GOT RUBBER BULLETS!" and people are yelling at him, and someone throws a can or bottle and it hits Comedian in the head, and then it continues from 00:51.

  • love this scene- bunch of anarchist punks getting their asses kicked. anyone who breaks the law and gets pissed off at police for trying to make them stop, are in my book a bunch of punks and need to get their asses kicked. dont like something in america? do what the tea party does and organize lawfully and stop whining.

  • @ranchump America has and always will be a complicated lass. We are so quick to hate and tell the world how much. As a world.. we need to come together. If we don't WE ALL DIE!!

  • @ranchump Fuck the Tea Party bitch. Occupy Wall Street forever!

  • Office's Edward Blake and Daniel Dreiberg are under investigation after charges were brought up after the two officer's were assisting in disbursing a riot late last night after things got violent. Detective Walter Kovacs and Laurie Juspeczyk are investing the events that took place. Police Captain Adrian Veidt made no comment about the matter. Major Jonathan Osterman will address this issue at the next city hall meeting. Well shit! We watch this movie everyday! lol.

  • Change the movie's name to NYPD, LAPD!

  • No Seriously, what did happen to the American dream?

  • @foodbug It's dead and gone, American has turned into the center of corruption and greed in the world...

  • @illshockyou Or you could see it as the Comedian does: "It came true." Probably inevitably killed itself in the process.

  • @illshockyou It's dead and gone?!? What are you talking about? It's not gone! It came true.... You're looking at it...

  • wish we had him on "occupy wall street" to maintain civil order.

  • @prbetty719 Be even better if they showed up at a 'Tea Party' rally.

  • Soo why did people hate the movie? It was AWESOME!?!

  • Funny how only most Americans don't get this.

  • If anybody wants to know the music when Daniel throws the Comedians smile pin in his grave it is. The American Dream by Tyler Bates.

  • Woman: FUCK YOU! FUCK YOU!

Comedian: *punch* What the fuck did you just say bitch!? Get back in the kitchen!

  • The Comedian: No Gender is safe from Comedy-Punch!

  • The comedian takes care of business....no fucking around.

  • What can i say, the man got the job done

  • Woah! That looks like the Occupy Wall-Street protesters! What are they doing in the Watchmen?

  • @AnonDude2 How does that look like Occupy Wallstreet? Occupy Wallstreet has been completely non violent. No rioting. None.

  • @elcheeserpuff Seriously? Do you even LISTEN to the news? Do you WATCH videos? Try googling 'Occupy Wall Street Violence' and you will find plenty of footage that shows what they really are.

  • @AnonDude2 Every single act of violence has occurred as a direct result of police brutality similar to what is seen in this video. You're kidding yourself if you think the OWS protesters are anything like the rioters in this video. And you worry me if you think a response to any protest occurring in a democracy deserves a violent reaction from the government. It' is not the government's job to shut up its people.

  • @AnonDude2 Are you guys that shocked that some of your actions have consequences? Go back to college that mommy and daddy pays for.

  • @napalmman420 Okay, I mean quasi-good insult but what's your point?

  • @AnonDude2

I would think people will assume you are right wing and leave it at that.

  • 1:21 - 1:34: Epic swagger

  • what the song when owlman throws that smiley face to the grave

  • This is who we need in Rome right now

  • I think that it's cool how the Comedian can hide how he really feels with that smile.

  • The Comedian is like a one man Syrian Police Force.

  • Best part of the movie-

  • The song: I'm your Boogie Man - KC And the Sunshine Band

  • I love this scene

  • Ladies first..

  • what´s the song name?

  • @91mauricio91 kc & the sushine band - boogie man

  • @91mauricio91 Lover Boy

  • @91mauricio91 I'm Your Boogie Man by KC and the Sunshine Band

  • Goddamn hippies!

  • @MrPizzaslice Fuckin right!

  • in the director's cut the comedians explains that he has rubber bullets, and the crowd taunts him more, and one of them hits him in the face with a can.

  • @departed402 I remember that

  • Gaddafi took the Comedian's job into shooting protesters lol

  • Nixon would be proud.

  • Comment removed

  • The Fucking Owl MObile

  • the 6 people that disliked this are the onees that got beat up by the comedian.

  • shooting looting hippies is the american dream....

  • @EuromanMovieReport What he is saying when he said "it came true" is that everyone has it made in america now so we have nothing better to do than bitch about our government and celebs and all other kinds of bullshit. Even the poor in america have it made. The Comedian is actually not 100% wrong.

  • this is how you stop riots

  • @MrY3110w If a goverment had actually balls to do so!!!

  • Kinda hypocrite to yell ''There's no need for violence'' and then send the Comedian in...

  • so this is why my friends call me the comedian

  • There's no need for violence!

  • what the hell was he shooting out of the thumper at the end?

  • @Mehul1982 i couldnt agree more! we either need that or 300 spartans :P

  • @Mehul1982

Yeah I'd love to see those rioters run into Rorschach and the Comedian...

  • @Mehul1982 Someone would need actually need guns to do that.

  • @Mehul1982 God help you brother... Wish they'd deploy my ass to your neighborhood so I could help you clean up. Sure as hell have no business in Afghanistan anymore

  • @Mehul1982 Someone has to be retarded and brainwashed to think like this.

P.S you're not even white right? Stupid white washed motherfucker.

  • @Mehul1982 public violence and problems occur when the government and policies have created enough problems for people to be pissed. cracking skulls and tear gassing doesn't solve shit all, what it does is quell one single riot or protest. you need to solve the problems that cause inequality first and foremost. often a high living standard is all people need to be quiet, cheap food, running water, electricity and healthcare. whether they have high enough pay cheques or if its cheap enuff for em

  • We need this guy in LONDON!!!!

  • @Jords5 You can be him.Just take weapons.

  • Send The Comedian to England!

  • I had to watch this after seeing the Insanity in England, the latest in a series of rioting in Europe. Are we in the US really so far behind in seeing this sort of insanity coming to our shores? Even though this is fiction and the Comedian is a creep, he's right. The Dream came true, and now we're paying the price.

  • song?

  • I wish they had included the scene of Dr. Manhattan and Laurie taking care of the riot in Washington, D.C. It was one of the few comic relief bits of the novel.

Dr. Manhattan: "Attention, you will all return to your homes..."

Rioter: "Yeah!? And what if we don't?"

Dr. Manhattan: "You misunderstand. I'm not asking."

*everyone is teleported away in a flash of blue light*

At least, I thought it was funny. =/

  • @boba697 where can i see that scene?

  • @thetopherhaslanded In the graphic novel. My comment was saying that I wish they had included it in the movie, but they did not.

  • @boba697 oh ok

  • @boba697 That sounds bitching!

  • Thats what happens when you wear bell bottom pants and mess with a man in a mask with a shotgun. . .

  • the comedian's fucking badass here

  • that bitch got knocked the fuck out!

  • After 2th August 2011 United States will be under emergency state and military control. If you can, go to Canada. Till you can.

  • the best part is how they all instantly back away the moment the comedian touches the ground

  • as sick as it may sound, 1:20 always makes me crack up haha

  • 2:06 HEADSHOT!

  • @hitschler100 that hit him in the chest

  • @birsic3216 oh sry in the darkness i didnt see it.

  • who old will the watchmen.the group exist since 1940.

  • 2:20 what say the comdian in german i dont understand it.

  • whats this song please some1 tell me

  • @volcomriley93 I'm Your Boogie Man-KC And The Sunshine Band

  • could have used him this morning when those Mormons knocked on my door

  • @RiFFxxx The ones knocking on my door are Jehovas witnesses @_@

    Equally annoying?

  • could have used him in Vancouver!

  • oh this is getting heavy

  • could have used him for the G20

  • thumbs up for China Lake

  • I liked how nearly every Watchman had a different view on humanity, Nite Owl and Silk Spectre still try to see all the good and keep peace non-violently, the comedian had no hope for humanity at all, Rorschach was just a pyschopath that believed in the most extreme means of justice but knew that people don't change and in the end Veidt and Dr. Manhattan used humanity's basic instinct for war and violence and made a situation so they could unite because of it, such a fucking badass movie !!!

  • y si... se hizo realidad el sueño americano solo observen a su alrededor.,dios! como me encanta esta pelicula!

  • y si... se hizo realidad el sueño americano solo observen a su alrededor

  • he really is the boogieman!!

  • I am the Comedian, and you will RESPECT MAH AUTHORITAH!

  • You know, the comedian may be an evil sonofabitch, but I'll give him one thing: he's no sexist. He beats the shit out of everyone equally!

  • @i3xxxhot He repented prior to his death. I blame him not and may God have mercy on his soul.

  • Comment removed

  • @i3xxxhot yeah he punched that girl at 1:09

  • Oh this is getting heavy xD

  • 1:09- Fuck you! Fuck you!

    *POW*

Shut up and make me a sandwich!

  • whats the name of the song thats beginning when he tosses the button into the comedians grave

  • @epilon497 kc and the sunshine band : im your boogie man

  • @ScottyandFriends I meant the song that starts playing with a guitar. U can hear it around 2:43

  • Anyone else find the American Dream dialogue between dan and the comedian really, really sad?

  • @XoNeverLetGoxoX

Yes, it's really sad. Or maybe bitter...

  • @thebaldurian I dunno, it's liuke the music and the way the comedian just tells it like it is. gets me emotional every time.

  • @XoNeverLetGoxoX It's sad because it's true.

  • 1:32

Look at the sparkle in his eyes. :D

  • I guess the fiction is closer to the truth than we thought. The sadness in his voice and the utter and bitter truth about the so called "american dream" is such that in our un/subconscious mind we know how right he is. And that why, most ppl did not like the movie. I did. Truth hurts and Truth with Facts hurt even more.

  • What is this? The TV edited kiddie version?

  • When he starts shooting and Boogeyman is playing... man, that sequence is orgasmic

  • whats the song playing at the beginning of the riot part?

  • @ragingbull191 "Im Your Boogeyman" by KC and the Sunshing Band

  • Always hate protesters against those who are "different" than everyone else.

  • I think watchmen had the best non original soundtrack Ive ever heard

  • Effective riot control. Idiotic protestors got served.

  • i think night owl II was my favorite character in the movie it was like he couldnt re adapt to society, i can relate sometimes

  • I wouldn't say Comedian was the best of heroes, but he was right all along.

  • 1:01 "oh fuck...."

  • 1:21 epic win

  • "What happened to the American Dream? It came true!

    ...you're lookin' at it."

That line gets me every time.

  • this song so fits for some reason

  • press 5

    thats me shooting a lagger

  • They were rubber bullets. He didn't kill them.

  • I don't know why they like this guy he just killed like 10 innocent people without a reason.

  • @242nd he didnt realy kill them he was shooting in the air to scare them off and the guy he shot with the smoke gernade just probably got hurt realy bad at least thats what i hope happend

  • @gigan55 no he killed em, hes no hero.

  • @242nd oh.....

  • @242nd He used rubber slugs and gas/smoke grenades.

  • @242nd They were a mob tearing up the city. They threw a Molotov cocktail at their vehicle. Learn what moral ambiguity means.

  • @242nd Those were Rubber Slugs. The Comedian wouldn't be employed by the Government had he killed those people.

  • 5 people must have ran into the comedian

  • Love when he shoots that "son of s bitch" in the chest.

  • @Hrolfgartheviking

I understand Watchmen: it's a brutal deconstruction of the archetypal superheroes. On the other hand that doesn't excuse somone beating up protesters.

  • @TheHuntedMen Oh nothing is excused. The Comedian is the real face of nihilism

  • @TheHuntedMen they were rioting not protesting

  • The scene makes me smile even though it makes me sad.

  • I'm really sorry for making this question, but... what "the american dream has become true" really means? I read the graphic novel and saw the movie, but I can't undertand it at all.

PS: Sorry for my english. My native language is spanish.

  • @Milenkachan The American Dream is the right to do whatever you like in a free society without being prosecuted. The Comedian says it has come true because he's issuing his own brand of crowd control without interference from the law. You can't really do this in real though, unfortunately...

  • @megamantwelve Uhm... but he says that the American dream has come true for the people there, not only for his...

  • @Milenkachan It has for them, too. They are protesting, which is something you can do without being prosecuted. Although success isn't certain, obviously.

Gracias :)

  • @Milenkachan Basically the comedian. The american dream that we know it is achieving prosperity through life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The Comedian is saying they got all that , but in the process have lost all respect for authority. So pretty much the freedom to do anything. This is what makes watchmen kinda conservative. It basically says that were fucked when we don't have authority.

  • @Josh0473 i dont really think watchmen tries to say that particularly, but more tries to say that mankind in general is simply one chaotic, destructive and stupid race by nature. except for the two 'boring' characters (spectre/owl), every character has his own way of dealing with that conclusion. may it be cynism (comedian), indifference (manhattan), hope/obstinacy (rorschach), or escape to pure rationality (veidt). even with authority, there are few reasons for hope.

  • @staxstix Great point. We could talk about so many aspects when is comes to the scenes from Watchmen. Just gives me a respect to how complex Moore's work is.

  • I believe Watchmen is a work that transcends political bias. It criticizes the black and white view of the right wing, but also criticizes the chaotic nature that is apparent in the left wing.

It's more of a story about human nature, about our morality. Each of our own indv. basic principles make up the fabric of American society. We have our pros, and we have our flaws. If we can overcome our flaws, whether you're liberal or conservative, you can create a better place for peace and prosperity.

  • @ElegeantFencer The biggest problem with America society in the modern day as I see it, is that we have allowed the lunatic fringes of both the Left wing and the Right wing to fuck over the roughly 90% of American society that is actually sane and rational. These are the same lunatics that are currently running the US government and screwing us out of our liberties. But I do agree with you that Watchmen is more play on the ambiguity of human nature thatn anything else.

  • @LordMalice6d9 I agree very much with what you said. The Supreme Court justices for instance- seems like a number of them are a bunch of morons.

  • @Josh0473 you could also say that he thinks the american dream was an illusion from the beginning, never meant to be real but always seemingly in reach, what they got was a perveterd version of it wich only superficially reflects the american dream.

  • @Josh0473 Actually watchmen not only sends a conservative view that's only the view of Comedian the rest of the group each have their own individual views. As Alan Moore said that's kind of the point of Watchmen to provide different views of the world.

  • @Josh0473

I don't think that's what the author meant. Alan Moore says that he considers himself an anarchist, which is virtually the exact opposite of a conservative. He also obviously doesn't like his own creations, and thinks the superheroes are the ones that ruined society(in the comic, not real life. I guess they're a stand in for government figures).

  • @Josh0473 Hey, cant fight for freedom... Because you cant fight for something that does not exist. People need structure and order in life but they want "freedom"... Cant have it both ways folks!

  • Lol! I can watch him punch that mouthy bitch over and over!

  • @Josh0473 you nailed it! cheers

  • @Josh0473 without order nothing can exist, without chaos, nothing can evolve, authority is the only way to achievement, and order, if you prefer anarchy......

  • @Harky88 Deep.

  • @Josh0473 Uhm, conservatism is limited government, liberalism is larger government. X-/

  • @NodDisciple1 Politically yes, but i'm referring it in the sense of conventional precautions.

  • @Josh0473 Ah, yes. Well, I do have my reservations concerning the Patriot Act if that's of any comfort to you. X-/

  • @NodDisciple1 haha i'm with u on that.

  • 1:09

Punch that bitch back to the kitchen!

  • @megamantwelve Hahaha dude i liked your comment about 9 times

  • @megamantwelve lmao fuck yea PRESS 4 TO GET A REPLAY OF PUNCHING THAT BITCH
