im not familiar with all of the characters, but i agree, tifa was pretty much the whole team, and Kairi shouldnt have been in it, shes from kingdom hearts if memory serves not dead or alive, nor final fantasy, there are plenty of FF girls he could have chosen from, but its his choice he is the creator
probably because the designer, Monty Oum, didnt want to totally unbalance it. From what I understand hes trying to make it as balanced as possible so there isnt an easy victory for either side.

why is ayane weak in this? shes like the female version of ryu hayabusa... but no where near as powerful as the super ninja himself ofcourse
