The supra didn't win by 1/10 of a sec. He won by .05 seconds. Impossibly close. And look at the trap speeds...is the fact that the Civic had a 6mph higher trap speed lost on you all? He was reeling in the Supra.

The Civic could have left 1 full second later...the clock starts running when the wheels trip the sensor. ET is established once the wheels trip the second sensor 1/4 mile down the track. This had nothing to do with the Civic getting the jump on the Supra. And the trap speed doesn't lie...a full 6 mph faster than the Supra at the end of course. Like I said, he was reeling him in. If the Civic hooks up a little better, he could own that Supra.

@crazycjh1 I'm not disputing that the Supra won, I'm saying that you can't say one car is faster than the other based on ET. Look at the MPH...that really tells the story. ET is all about your launch. Search for "Supra vs RX7 vs Civic turbo Drag Race" and you'll see the same cars racing different opponents.

You'll see the Supra turns an 11:96 @ 116.45mph. The RX7 he races beats him by almost .4 sec and is trapping 128 mph. The Civic is next, turning a 11:57@127mph. the RX7 owns both of them.

The previous video I mentioned showed the Civic running .4 sec better ET than the Supra ran in this vid. But yes, the Supra won, fair and square. Both cars are awesome...I'd take either. Better yet, both. :)

Hey it's not just the motor. You have got to have a balance between power, torque, weight distribution, and skill. The shell of the car DOES matter. You should look up cars that have been made to run 10-sec quarters strictly from making the car lighter. You can make a lot of bone-stock cars fast by weight reduction alone. It's perfect for FWD because all the weight will be on the engine (front wheels) and your car will stick to the road better, allowing for better launch.
