Thr piano and cello frame her voice so perfectly! The way she caresses her lyric with her voice (unlike Barbara Sterisand who, though she too has a magnificent voice, can't seem to pass up many sustained notes without having to hot dog all around them) gives this performance such a wallop.

Laura STILL affects me the same way she did when I heard her sing in a small concert in Bridgeport, Connecticut at the college there ...
