used a lot of recopilation from sounds and its pretty slow / repeating . and it get's pretty empry, idk., guess you didn't work it TOO much =P

Was a bit slow, not really exciting enough for a trailer. As an intro to a story it could work quite well though.

Yeah but the sound gives it the pace. No offense, their was nothing wrong with the music I just think it would have been better suited faster paced to build a bit of tension and anticipation.

If you're a student (like me) you can get it for the ridiculously great price of £120 from the apple online education store, you need to be on your uni network to make it work. Or alternatively, look at Logic Express, which is a cut-down version that still offers almost all of the main features, for around half the price.

ah, no, not exactly. It runs on apple macs only, and costs £350. It is probably the best value for money all-purpose composition and sequencing software money can buy. It does so much, and comes with so many extras it's crazy! It comes on 7 DVDs, total 47GB of content.

Yeah, i'm not great at composing orchestral scores really. It's hard too with only the built-in instruments. My friend spent £100 on string sounds and it really shows... his string arrangements sound awesome!!

I need someone to teach me proper composition.... Not that I have time!

I have to agree that you have put in effort. what are you using (synth? software-virtual instruments?). Its very easy to come up with scores. just listen to a lot of scores in famous movies, like the pirates, john williams, etc etc imagine the situation and think of the tune first, compose it in your mind. and all you need to do is get it in the keyboard after that..

I used virtual instruments, the ones that come with Logic. I disagree with "it's very easy..." I think for some people it comes naturally, and it might be easy to write O.K. music but it takes tremendous amounts of talent, practise and skill to write a good score! I know how I want things to sound and look, but getting that result is often very hard!

I tried to do it myself, I agree, it was difficult, but i think its much easier with a proper synth than using virtual instruments. the strings in my keyboard is fantastic. and with a 16 track, you can make it sound like an orchestra. the sound fx you did is pretty kool..
