I don't see how it's much better than regular ammo. It only take one or two bullets to kill common infected anyway, incindary or not.

Might be useful against the tank or for taking care of hoards if the fire can spread.

I certainly hope incendiary ammunition will not cause boss infected to burn, especially the tank... unless water is nearby throughout the level OR the fire eentially wears off on Boss. I would miss the molotov "holy sh*t it bounced of the wall, missed the tank, and we are now on fire!" moment. Incendiary ammo not only doesn't make much sense along more realistic weaponry, it also cuts out out a lot of the mistakes a team can make, which is more fun than taking it down to a science.

Luckily apparently the tank cannot be lit with incendiary ammo in VS, not sure on that but i certainly hope so

and theres an entire campaign in a swamp (Or at least mostly in one, (mudmen FTW) and its set in new Orleans, so i dont think water will be in any circumstance, scarce

The original special infected will still be included in the game, in addition to these new specials. The SMG looks crazy accurate..much better than the pen0r SMG you start with in L4D 1. Looks like this L4D will be a lot harder to beat on Expert.

I think they will give the special infected some extra abilities from getting lit on fire. Like increased damage or faster speeds. It wouldn't be fair if in a match everyone shot with incendiary ammo and the infected wouldn't be able to defend themselves or use it in their favor.

L4D2 is 3 weeks after first infection.

L4D2 is 1 week after L4D1.

L4D1's survivors are now in the safe zone.

L4D2's survivors just stared to survive , the location L4D2 takes place few days ago was a safe zone or an outpost where CEDA evacuated people. CEDA failed because virus infected civilians and the CEDA hazmat units too.
