@pkunkadrums Coltrane hurt his mouth at some point, with his mouthpiece. He played really fast and then he started playing slow. Luckily he was a genius, so he started doing the Chasin' the Trane shit, but '60 to '64 many Coltrane live tenor performances suck, someways. And I say this as objectively the biggest Coltrane fan maybe living.

Great indeed. Compare with the '65 version edited 2 years ago, with a much better sound. Tenor sax in a real paradise!
