I just noticed something but i was watching the Boss fight Ran Yakumo in one of the Touhou games and she had the buddist symbol for something (which was a reversed swatscica, and it came before it.), but Ran's Shinkigami, Chen, is a nekomata (demon cat), which is a cat that has lived over 13 years. Since the Nazis pretty much stole the Buddist symbol for whatever, is Scrodlinger a created Nekomata?

There was a political party during World War Two that associated its self with the Nazis called Wehrwulf. The regiment that Schro is a member of is a re-creation of this party, as Mellenium is a re-creation of the Reich.  There is only one werewolf in this movie, and most likely his main purpose in the film was to serve as a pun referring to the name of his party. :P
