  • So you appear in the dvd Live at the Point

  • Kind of like a Kate Bush, though maybe not quite as pretty...or weird..

  • @DCussen Or talented, or original, or interesting or...you know, good.

  • Damn! Christina is so beautiful...even her feet are perfect....yummy!

  • Sounds like an updated version of the band Curved Air, that did stuff like this 35-40 years ago. Nice to hear something current in this genre.

  • Does anyone got tabs for this? i couldnt find it

  • oh what a great performance, yumyum

  • People tend these days to describe any odd time signature or atonal melodies as "Prog". It is just a label and labels are psychologically limiting. This is a nice song and fits the Art Rock motif.

  • This is some really good stuff. I don't normally like Progressive Rock (I appreciate it, but I don't listen to stuff link Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, Rush, etc, on a regular or frequent basis) but this is really excellent.

Send em to America for us?

(Thank you!)

  • Man, some people don't understand the 21st century. Does today's prog sound like 70s prog? No. Does today's pop sound like 70s pop? No. Come on, people. As much I'd like it to be, this isn't 1973. Music has evolved since then. Sure, this isn't experimental or complex; but it's a more delicate and simple side of prog. At the very least just think of it as a song in itself.

  • Ok I see but where is the progression in this song? :)

  • Exactly! Where is the thing that gives Prog Rock its name?

    Good point man.

  • It's just as progressive in nature as "Us and Them" by Pink Floyd. It certainly is at the mellow end of the prog scale. I guess it could also be considered "melodic rock", like Moody Blues. Melodic and prog overlap at points.

  • where is the rock?!!!

  • not so progressive

  • Magenta never are. I don't even get why they are considered prog at all. They have minor prog elements in their arrangements (obviously not here), but that's pretty much it.

  • awesome

  • waste of time

  • Great sound.

    Reminds me of Camel.

    The group, not the animal.

  • would you , repeat !^^ please ! are you sure ? ! ; )

well i don t really agree , or few seconds

  • Love this band actually. ^^

  • prog rock??

    is it a dragqueen???

  • Good vocal:) yeah u go on keeping your thang girl! Soooo pure and beautiful! Love it soooo much man! I loooove prog rock sooo muchhhhhh!!! Yaaayayayayayayayayayayay :D

  • wow, this is probably the best original song video for me on Youtube. Wish that distortion was a little more climactic during the solo though.

  • There is now a new version, available on the "Singles" album and free for download from their website, which has a much more rocky solo on the end, it's awesome!

  • Wow she's drop dead gorgeous and has a great voice :)

  • You are so right i know Tina and the band very well,Chris Fry is an amazing guitarist and his brother Dan now plays bass in the band. The Brains is Rob Reed musician and producer extrodinaire a real talent.

If you have the Gathering DVD i am in the special features talking pissed as a newt LOL.

  • cool... ncie sound...

  • buuuuuhhh!!!!

    aburrido!!!!!

  • Yea So

    good band

its not as if igot to say that =D

  • Cookie cutter rockpop. Although near the halfway mark, it started to catch my interest. But as what it is. And it's definitely not prog.

  • It seems you are mistaken. Or a little confused. I can't see why you would say 'cookie cutter', and it certainly is prog, seeing as how the song goes through stages, never repeating itself. Isn't that the definition of progressive?

  • Not really. It's cookie cutter in that when I listened to it the first time, I predicted every single progression. The song doesn't really go through stages, it changes itself based upon already established chord progressions. I have no right to say what is prog and what isn't, but as far as I'm concerned, I would file this under maybe avante-pop.

  • Well then it's predictable prog. Regardless of the genre, I think that it's pretty cool.

  • i think the spirit of progessive is clear: an evolution from an acoustic sweet song to a lush instrumental section. there are strings and a beautiful electric guitar solo near the end. great song.

  • what a great band, nice finding with this band. i am very happy of have found them.. what a voice good job.!!

  • what a beautiful voice

  • That's my guitar teacher up there (Y)!

  • That's my uncle up there (Y)!

  • I can understand those who talks about "old prog" it's true that Magenta isn't breaking any rules with it's old fashioned prog' but... Christina's so... gorgeous and her voice is so cute ;-)

  • You are great Christina!

  • Boring. I must confess that I was fooled by the "Progressive rock" label. This has NOTHING to do with prog rock.

  • I think this is archetypal progressive rock. Would have fit right in with early Genesis. OK, it's not in 13/8 time and may not sound like an Altairian mating chant played on electric kazoos, but neither did King Crimson's "I Talk to the Wind." I enjoyed it for what it is.

  • it was very good. i enjoyed it. wasn't prog tho. beautiful, but not prog.

  • You got a pretty narrow definition of "Progressive Rock" then. I thought it was quite good.

  • jordan bool behave your self on youtube

    The Buffet was fantastic.
