I think it's a reference to The OC (I didn't watch it) and to Gilmore Girls (I did watch it). I guess Seth Cohen was a huge sombody on The OC and I know Loreali was a very awesome person in Gilmore Girls. So I suppsose the writer of the song really liked The WB Lol. But that each character is very wonderful and great, that that's how they'll treat each other.
