the boards, the clothes, the hair and brilliant lack of 20 foot vert and before old people realised that skateboarding was better than doing drugs and hanging with the wrong crowd... or was it just skateboarding on drugs...not sure.
John Orlanis was one of my mentors and one of the best underground street cats ever.. I havent seen this in mad long.. holy crap! That might be me frontside railsliding the doublesided ledge on Wilshire! :mczr:the Beat Seeker
I think watching skate vids like this back then made you want to go skate more because it seemed more accessible, the skaters in the vids weren't doing such crazy stuff. I love Jef Hartsel's part the most, great style.
ha ha! what ever happened to felix arguelles? but as far as all that goes, Billy Waldman 'demon child'..his part makes me want to skate, he had no pretensions in that part.
yeah, seriously style for miles...u woulda thought he would be on team hosoi..but he rode for Alva before this...kinda weird he has on the Vision shoes tho? ;/

These videos are way more fun to watch
not just rail rail rail....flip flip
They just roll and mix it up.
Thats how I prefer my skating anyways
